Halo: Heretic or Hero?---An Elite's Story (Chp2)
Welcome, reader, to the Sangheili Chronicles, fully rewritten and remastered and guaranteed to deliver to you a wild ride of epic proportions. Here you will find the long-awaited trilogy that's been two years in the making. I hope you enjoy reading as much as I have enjoyed writing.
Synopsis: The Human-Covenant war is slowly drawing closer to its fateful conclusion, but the story of the Master Chief is not the story we follow in this saga. Among the Honor Guards who fought to protect the High Prophet of Regret on Delta Halo, there was a single treacherous Sangheili who abandoned the Prophet in his greatest time of need--his fateful confrontation with the Master Chief. Now, the only son of Daka 'Solonee must decide his own destiny, but he will need help from his unlikely group of friends and allies along the way. Together, through their struggles and triumphs and dark memories, they will fight to the bitter end in search of a long awaited time of peace. Contents Prologue---I am Sangheili Chapter One---Regrets Chapter Two---To Walk the Path [Edited on 12.02.2010 1:20 PM PST]

 •
Posted by: xBR 2 DA FAC3x it's about time :D this version looks a hundred times better than the originals. it looks like you've really improved over the last couple years :) Tell me, though--will there still be an epic duel at the end between [redacted] and [redacted]? EDIT: Names removed for those who haven't read the original story :)
Thank you, and yes. I plan to re-do the duel sequence as well, and hopefully give it a better end this time (I literally wrote the original conclusion in ten minutes because people were getting so anxious!) I'm not going to spoil the outcome of the new duel, but I will say that it has quite a bit to do with the Prologue (as does the rest of the story)
Posted by: ajw34307 I took some time to read the whole thing again today, I still love how (even though it's totally different) it's still the same basic form of the old HoH. Chapter One was pulled off much better than the other (billion) times. ;) One thing I'd reccomend though is that you put more character thought in; and when you do, put it in italics. It makes the characters a lot more believeable and it goes a long way. Can't wait for more, I can't wait to see some of the old faces.
Ha! I felt so awkward rewriting that sequence (Old Prologue, now Chapter One) for a third time. I'm just glad someone enjoyed it more than the other two attempts. Thanks for the feedback, I'll make sure to try and delve deeper into the characters in the upcoming chapters. If you liked seeing Burns and Anderson again, you should be ready to get re-acquainted with the most dishonrable antagnogist of all time...
