thank god team snipers is being removed from the team slayer playlists. Now, if only they could remove objectives from doubles or make it it's own doubles playlist, HALO would be PERFECT again.

Excuse me... but... I'd like to make a quote and a statement: "The Sniper Rifle is now a short to mid-ranged weapon with a super powerful scope." Now.. In what universe do I have good use for a "super powerful scope" if the rifle itself is only a midranged weapon? Honestly... Is the scope so "super powerful" that it can kill an opponent just by zooming in on him? No? Well I didn't think so. Why would I want a short-ranged sniper rifle? Or even a mid-ranged? I can't see myself having any use of either... PLEASE HELP ME! IM VERY FRUSTRATED RIGHT NOW!!! [Edited on 10.28.2008 8:40 AM PDT]

LOL at all the people who didn't realize the joke. But on a serious note, when it says no secondary weapon, that means not even a pistol? I love snipers, and I'm so pumped that they got a ranked playlist for it now. But the thing is that when I'm zoomed in, to get out of zoom, I double tap "Y" I'm sure a lot of people other than myself do this too. Whenever I play customs with my friends just snipers no secondary it really throws my game off. I hate to sound like a whiner, finally getting a sniper playlist and all, I just really hope it's not legit JUST a sniper, (the part about the beam rifle confuses me)

Couldn't be happier that snipers is an individual play list. Thanks bungie, all i used to play was an occasional game of swat and team snipes when it was doub exp. now that Snipes is a playlist i dont have to spend money on one of those new games this fall

how stupied why chage the sniper rifle to short to medium range? it's a long range weapon and reduced weighting for vahalla and removing shotty snipers from social slayer? please re-think this are you tring to drive players away?

Bungie... I now officially hate you. I was ecstatic when I read the snipes paragraph. Not the short-midrange part, I thought you were really confused, the spread mechanic part. I hate no scopers, they're lame. The sniper rifle should have some sort of limitation if it isn't in scope mode. Like no reticle or a spread mechanic of some sort. I hope this paragraph was some sort of teaser for what you're thinking about implementing. Not just some evil tease to the (many) people that think the sniper rifle is over-powered.

wow team snipers thats a bet, but no shotty/snipers at least should be social,, as for stand-off heavy no one cares except vehic noobs.. WHY would you take away ANVIL by far the best foundry forge game variant and it rocks in dbls. Snowbound and Epitaph should not be removed for dumb crap like boundless and cold storage(hate this one the most) if you change anything with dbls it should be no more objective games, by far the worst thing to happen to a playlist... WoW this update was good. claps for bungie. Pics r nice but i have allot of gunwings amour pic all ready. But i think the point was about new "TAGING" which is usefull. Now when I play snipers games it will be because I specifically indicated that I wanted to do that by entering a sniper playlist (Like in H2), and I won't be forced to play it when I don't want to. Dorje showed us all how cool a 3D Cube could be. In lieu of the lightmapper, Milton and Ken are brokering a better way to shingle a building. Dan Miller is out back taking a break from the most expensive game of hacky sack in the world to think about pimping his ride. Vic has a thing for Zebras. CJ Cowan just made a Brute Chieftain introduce the business end of his Hammer to some dudes. Mat is doing “almost nothing except for making the cache system build a faster environment and adding per-bsp scenario resources to make it easier for multiple artist to paint in the fun.” Yep, almost nothing. A whole bunch of men are building bridges to nowhere. Scott Shepherd is making a better face; not a butter face. Marty is taking a break from making Halo 3: Recon music to score his daughter’s wedding. Steve Scott is venting his frustrations over Milton’s future Ford Taurus by photoshopping Bungie staff into the cast of The Watchmen. No one cares, got it?

1. I would like to say thank you for the sniper playlist as many others has said. 2. The mid-ranged sniper thing was a JOKE as many others have pointed out 3. Shotty Snipers is not being completely removed from halo 3. The team sniper playlist will have "Shotty Snipers present with a lower weighting"

Hey Bungie? How about making the EXP system more FUN for people who want to level up? The system of "one win = one point" is still pretty hefty. I'm not saying to make everyone who plays in a FFA match gain an experience point even if they lose (or at least make it a close 4th place) but there just needs to be.........a better way at doing this. I personally think showing off your skills in a match (like say, sniping 2 people at once, triple kill with a grenade/rocket) deserves MORE experience points than just an entire round and then bam, nothing. Or at the least, make that winning exp point an extra to what's happening in the game? I believe I saw something like this in Rainbow Six Vegas 2. Looks like tons of fun and you'd get more people to play/buy your games. Isn't that what you guys want?
