Post yer Pumpkins
So I started carving pumpkins related to current happenings at Bungie last year. Last Halloween, Halo 3 had just come out so I made [url=http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y128/nick53182/Halo%20Pumpkin/DSCF1252.jpg]this[/url] beauty. Some guy in town dressed up as Master Chief for Halloween. He approved of my pumpkin. =]
This year, I made [url=http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y128/nick53182/Halo%20Pumpkin/pumpkin%2008/pumpkin2.jpg]this[/url]. Seems like a fitting design, don't you think?
I made these using a relief cutting method (where you thin parts instead of cutting holes). A candle, therefore was [i]way[/i] to dim to effectively light it up. I use a 120 Watt light bulb instead. =]
On a side note... both of these are carved using nothing more than a standard screwdriver and a keychain pocket knife.
Please, feel free to post any Halo or Bungie related pumpkins here.
Edit: sorry, I lied above... I also used a spoon to gouge out the SI's eyes. =]

This pumpkin had the consistency of a block of wood... I had to carve it with a set of chisels... not very precise. Likewise, I sort of may have chipped off a chunk of the SI's face near the right eye... Woops.

Well, it seems I've carved the SI too early... It rained last night. I went outside to unplug my pumpkin and it smelled like pumpkin pie... (kinda awesome actually). There was steam or smoke or something rising from the SI's face and now he looks like [url=http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y128/nick53182/Halo%20Pumpkin/pumpkin%2008/SadIPumpkin.jpg]this[/url]. Some people use photoshop, some oil and canvas, some ink and paper, and som pumpkin and screwdriver. Who am I to judge? Those are really cool, wanna carve me a pumpkin?

Hah! Those pumpkins are awesome! Love the SI one. ;-) Awesome work, unfortunately I haven't made any pumpkins yet, though. ;'(
