Make your own searches by changing the options in the drop-downs. Remember to search before you sort and filter.

A. 1. You can't report bad tags (you can of course report the file). What you can do is rate up the tags that are correct. Sure your file might get tagged incorrectly but that's ok--files are sorted by the numbered of times they've been tagged.
EX: Someone tags your elite screenshot "spartan". Since it's only been tagged once your screenshot will be displayed on the last page of the search result (for spartan). We have tools to combat griefing as well.
We display the top seven tags for a file first and you have to click on "show all tags" to see the rest. Think of the top seven tags of what the file actually is--and the remaining tags are what the file may or may not be. [/quote]

If it gets deleted from all fileshares then you will lose your comments.

This is really nice, straight away it's easier to find what you want, and I think some of my fileshare things have actually been viewed because of the update. (Though they aren't that good but meh.) And now there are no more wankers who double and triple post in their own threads to keep them on page one of the file forums. Thank you! Oh, one question, now that you can't use the forums to access comments on your files, what happens if you replace a film or screenshot in your fileshare with something else? Will you still be able to search up and look at comments on the file you removed? Thanks again though for the update!

I am loving the new Community Files system, especially the file linking. I do have one small complaint about it though. It is no longer practical for the author of the content to include a description about their map/gametype, because the comments are now ordered from oldest to newest. It is possible to get around this by clicking on "view all comments", but that is a bit of an inconvenience. What is my suggestion you ask? Well, I believe it would be nice if on the [url=http://www.bungie.net/Online/Halo3UserContentDetails.aspx?h3fileid=45116477]file page[/url], just under the linked screenshots or the tags, the author had a small space to include a description of their creation and anything else not possible just using Halo 3 screenshots. Such as the rules for a mini game, a birds eye view showing the weapon spawns or even a gameplay video. This would be beneficial for a few reasons. It would allow users to get a better understanding of what they are downloading, without having to click too many links (or if they didn't know to click on "View all comments"). It would also encourage people to use external image hosting sites, such as photobucket, which would slightly reduce the strain on Bungie's servers. It also allows people to organise their screenshots, for example: [url=http://i303.photobucket.com/albums/nn154/uralllame/Splaser%20Cats/45108914-Full.jpg]Human Spawn[/url] is a lot more informative than "Forge 001". The linked screenshot thing is great, but it only allows you to preview 3 shots, then you have to guess what the others are pictures of. I am aware that this is not the most urgent matter, so it could wait. But hey, if Bungie ever get bored on a rainy Seattle day... here's something to do. Thanks for reading. Yeah the download button was good, and I liked to see the number of comments on my map before I clicked on them but that's not there either. I haven't really noticed an improvement to be honest, or I probably haven't figured out how to use the new system properly.

I want to throw up a couple screenshots from a couple different users into my fileshare but I can't because they are only recent screenshots and they aren't able to be added to my fileshare manually through B.net If the old system was still in effect I would have just simply downloaded the screenshot to my xbox and loaded it to my fileshare that way. Edit: I keep thinking there on the same system, even if we had the old download the Halo 3 system back this wouldn't helped me much. NEVERMIND [Edited on 10.12.2008 10:13 AM PDT]
