Maybe if your looking for a "MISERABLE" first date! Hey oooooo!!!
-
Yeah I went and it was pretty cool
-
Sure! A guy steals some bread and starts a revolution.
-
Incidentally enough I offered to take a Girl I've known for a very long while to see a Movie, but since she was apparently seeing the Lord of the Rings with her English Class on Monday (They're apparently studying Tolkien, what are the chances?), she wanted to go see Les Miserables. I only remember vaguely reading the book a while ago in like middle school, something about some guy who stole some bread and tries to run away from this police dude who has a habit of finding him in odd places trying to atone for stealing bread.

Better Idea. Take her to the park and bring bread. You can feed the ducks and talk to her and stuff.
-
This is probably the most romantic movie out right now.
-
I don't see why not. I'm taking my missus to see it this Friday. Bear in mind we've been on dates before and see each other at college, though.
-
What Underdog said. Movies as a first date takes socializing and interacting completely out of the picture, and instead puts you two awkwardly sitting next to each other. It will likely be too soon for you to make a move without turning her away unless she's very easy. Maybe if you take her out for the day before hand and you really hit it off. But Les Miserables is definitely a good idea for a movie date in general.

Edited by VIC: 1/13/2013 5:07:50 PMTaking someone to the movies for a first date is poor form anyway. Nothing says "let's get to know each other" like sitting in a dark room not talking to each other for ~2 hours. Is this person someone you've known for awhile? It's not so bad in that case.
-
it doesn't matter if the movie's crap; it'll give you more to talk about afterwards.
-
Just make sure you're not the one who starts crying.
-
Ask her what movie she wants to see, after all if you wanna make her happy nothing says "I care about you" like going to see a film both you and her want to watch.
-
For your spoiled, self entitled generation? Nope.
-
Haven't seen it yet. Hopefully I can go watch it tomorrow.

Edited by HurtfulTurkey: 1/13/2013 3:54:43 AMIt is possibly the best first date movie in existence. Definitely the best first date movie in theaters.
