And damned important ones too!
In the latest update, Frankie mentioned a "Major Nelson" with XBL. That wouldn't by any chance be a pseudonym? As in Major Anthony Nelson, aka Larry Hagman in "I Dream of Jeannie"?
See? I told you that it was important!

Hmm...Maybe this would be worthy of a google search or even a PM.............
-
I knew a Major Nelson once....In a past life...
Posted by: Shishka You know your Nick at Night, Recon. ;)
Shishka, I know those shows from when they were new! When I was a kid, there were four reasons we all wanted to be Astronauts. [*]They got to go into space. (duh) [*]They got to drink Tang. [*]They got to eat Space Food Sticks. [*]They each had a scantily clad Barbara Eden waiting at home. Being able to watch the Apollo launches from the back patio (I lived in Central FL and the Saturn V was gigantic) made the space program even more real to me.

Shish, he just served you. Except for the fact that Recons making himself sound old. Everyone wanted to be an astronaut??? Lame asses
-
Scantily clad? She didn't even HAVE a belly button as far as tv was concerned until after the show went color. ;)
-
Lol recon. you just made my sig. and now the ultimate question to turn this thread into chaos... did we land on the moon?? 0_o just kidding!

But these were the dreams of adolescents... of course she'd be scatily clad in your dreams... But this does raise one question... Was Recon watching before colour tv? Tristan ;-)
Posted by: Gaara of Sand But these were the dreams of adolescents... of course she'd be scatily clad in your dreams... But this does raise one question... Was Recon watching before colour tv? Tristan ;-)
I remember as a kid watching B&W TV and imagining the colors. I was so disappointed when I first saw color TV and the actors on Bonanza, Gunsmoke and The Rifleman had the wrong colored clothes on! Many of the shows were in color, my family didn't happen to have a color set. And Barabara Eden was scantily clad for TV of the day. Her main competetion "TV magic-wise" was Elizabeth Montgomery, who (while a fine looking woman) played the stereotypical housewife.

I can't get my sig to work.... oh well. how old is recon anyway? ; )
-
One year younger than the MC.
Posted by: Recon Number 54 One year younger than the MC.
That'd make you -504, if I've done the arithmetic right. :P (Far below Halo's recommended age. For shame!) -- Steve'll crawl into bed after that one. Bad arithmetic jokes are probably a sign of fatigue.

Yes Recon's youth was quite an active period for the primordial soup.
