Halo 2 "Remake" - Should It Have the Original Ending?
THIS IS NOT A DISCUSSION OF WHETHER OR NOT THE REMAKE SHOULD HAPPEN. THIS IS A DISCUSSION OF WHETHER OR NOT A THEORETICAL REMAKE SHOULD HAVE THE ENDING BUNGIE ORIGINALLY INTENDED TO GIVE HALO 2. I LIKE TYPING IN ALL CAPS!!!
I was talking to a friend recently and discussed this rumor. While discussing it, he had an interesting point. He said this: "Actually, I'll support it on one condition. They give it the end they originally wanted to give it." That got me thinking... It would be really nice to see the way Halo 2 was really meant to end. That would mean having everything intact from the first mission to "The Great Journey" but, instead of it ending with "Sir... Finishing this fight." it would actually feature the story arc Bungie had originally planned for but didn't have the resources/time to put into Halo 2. This would be amazing in my opinion. I would happily pay $60 to have that. Hell, I would even buy a new console if it was featuring this. I know what the multiplayer would be like (Yes, no matter what I've said on here, I do enjoy Halo 2's multiplayer.) and I'd really be excited to see Halo 2 as what it was meant to be. I know the thought of things changing gets a lot of people upset here but I think it's an interesting thought. I'm thinking that I'll hear a lot of people crying out that they don't want anything to be done to their "perfect" game but I really think this would be excellent. So what do you all think about this? Would you like it if it featured more campaign missions featuring the way Bungie meant for the game to end? [Edited on 05.20.2012 8:14 PM PDT]

 •
Posted by: Dr Syx
Posted by: Sliding Ghost A big fov can make enemies seem to be shooting from longer ranges. Quite immersive. But it can also mess up grenade throws.
Well it's still consistent. It's just something you'd have to adjust to. :P
I find it easier to adjust if I get acquainted with a smaller fov first. When I mod H2 and increase the fov, it feels great. But when I play CEA and Reach, it's the opposite. I hope 343 have enough sense to include fov control. A set fov can be aggravating but a controllable fov is win-win for everyone.
Posted by: Dr Syx
Posted by: Sliding Ghost I've made a stunning recovery haven't I doc?
xD I didn't mean you needed to recover!!! I meant it's a milestone in Halo history! We're over with complaining about Reach and are now about to embark on complaining about the problems with Halo 4! Hopefully there's less!
The complaints have been over mp or minor things. Campaign looks strong though I'm concerned about my Goldies.
