Mission Statement

This is Firefly, an exploratory group of Guardians whom scour the galaxy for the rarest of treasures. Everyone is able to become a Firefly member, but only few can call themselves Treasure Hunters. For us this is more of a community type guild. Others are just in it to play the game. For my Guild I want it to be a social experience, one that lets people have fun even after they have beaten the game. We are going to skim the game getting the best gear we can, be the best treasure hunters the game will have. Soon I will get up a Destiny map and label out where the best gear can be found. For the new people so they know where to look first. Then we will have fun weekly contests when the beta is out. Like kill counts and best kill story and such. Its just meant to get people closer, most fps games you will only meet people as they come and go. Here you will be able to befriend people, get a close bond with them.

Hey guys I have a fun little event for us. In order to add some unique aspects to our characters lets make a bsckground for them. I will leave it up to you of course but it should be at least 3 paragraphs so there is enough information about them.

Character Bio for Corneilius_86 - in game name to be determined Class: Hunter Race: Awoken From the ashes of this broken world there stands a champion. Our champion survived the collapse and has risen to help protect the ones he loves and the weak. Our champion is not like others. He was once an outlaw, running from the law and scavenging for exotic weapons. A nomad with no family and always looking for the next score or action filled event. The collapse changed him. During the collapse he witnessed many helpless Humans, Awoken and even the strong Exo be ravaged by the evils of this universe. He has seen how the collapse has broken everything around him and he has now vowed to to do good with his skills. Much like the fabled story of Robin Hood he fights for the people that cannot defend themselves against the evil upon the worlds. As our champion sets out on adventures to explore and help others. He discovers villains that he alone cannot take down. He will need the help of others in order to save the helpless. PART 2 As our champion moves through the barren lands of Old Russia he sees an old destroyed building, it looks as if a meteor took the top 10 stories clean off. The building looks like it could've housed some weapons, armour; really hoping to find food and water. Upon entering the abandoned and destroyed building our champion feels a sense of despair and danger fall over him. He shrugs the feeling off knowing he needs to find food, water...and a new weapon or set of armour if he is lucky. Using a companion only known as Ghost his path is lit though the building. Looking through the rubble and remains he hears something rustling in the background. He quickens his search, his heart rate quickens. He knows of the evils that lurk in the darkness and, he knows a battle is about to ensue. He reaches for his Duke .44; given to him by a mysterious traveller. It is too late the enemy is almost upon him, all he hears is his heartbeat; thump-thump-thump. He sees his target, the enemy looks to be wielding a devilish looking dagger and a pistol and is rushing fiercely towards him, hissing and clattering. Our champion dodges left, rolling to the flank of the enemy. Rising to one knee he is able to quickly pull out his Duke, he takes a quick shot at the enemy-BOOM!-it is a direct hit to the back. The sound of the shot echoes through the entire building. The enemy falls to the ground, it is a Fallen Dreg. The lowest in command of this species but, where there is one there is more. Our hero realizes he could've just started a larger battle, he again pays no mind to. Scavenging the body he finds nothing. Deciding that this building contains nothing useful our champion heads for an exit. Then suddenly he hears clattering, quickly he has Ghost attach itself to his armour. He peeks around the corner and sees three enemies standing around four Shrikes, two enemies are Dreg and one Captain. he counts them being only 20 feet from him. He knows of this enemy, the Fallen they are called. Nomads, much like him but, unlike him they are out to ravage and pillage. He decides that he will take them down before they can cause harm to others, and a Shrike would be nice to have. Again all he hears is his heartbeat as the battle is about to begin. With the element of surprise he pulls out Duke and takes aim for the head of the Dreg closest to him-BOOM!-the shot hits, the Dreg falls like a wet noodle. The other two enemies start to hiss fiercely and clatter; all he hears is his heartbeat. The Captain clatters and the last Dreg charges; taking a quick shot he lands a hit to the head. The Captain was charging behind the Dreg, jumping at our champion the Captain comes down on him with both swords. Our champion attempts to roll right but catches a sword to the leg. A sting and then an intense burn overcomes the champion. The blades have electricity coursing through them. Our champion, on his back, feels an energy pulse through him, this feeling is unknown but it feels...powerful. Taking aim with Duke he feels the power transfer to the gun, it glows brightly. The Captain turns towards our champion, hissing. BOOM!!!! The champion takes the shot. Direct hit to the chest, he sees the heavy armour disintegrate then the flesh begins to disintegrate. Our champion is filled with amazement and confusion. The battle is won. He feels the adrenaline subside and begins to lose conciousness. As the story unfolds our champion discovers that he and his band of Guardians are meant for something bigger than he imagined....Where will you be when the dust settles?
TheAntiroxas was here =P
"... and when he took it from them... The Kabal... Heh, little more than over grown slugs... they were shocked, at broke rank in pure, primal fear..." -Excerpt from the Chronicles of Kerin Dross, Child of Traveler I had never been given to have much respect for those who "came before" as my mother used to call them. The "Ancients" or "Ancestors" as the traveling merchants used to say. Whatever you call them: they were weak. They seemed to lay down at the sound of battle, and would rather build walls than fight on their own. Walls that I was stuck behind for too long. This city is nothing more than a prison, a gilded cage, that all these foreign beings can feel free to peer through the bars at our sad, dull lives while they ravage our home. OUR HOME. And what would our "Ancients" do? Build the wall higher, make it stronger, and rely on the blessings of Traveler to keep them at bay. Cowards. There those who stood apart, though, amongst the rabble that made up our vast constituency: The Guardians. By the time I could stand, I was fitting armor for the Guardians that would come to our shop. Dressing them in powered armor that was nearly impervious to our foes, and admiring the fineries they would bring in that were better than what I could create. These men and women were the real heroes. The would tell stories of treasures and conquest, reclaiming our lands, and of course - leaving this wretched city. When I was old enough, I volunteered to serve on the wall, and learned that this world could be tamed. Attacks would come, but from our vantage, they didn't last long, and were not hard fought. I longed for a place among the Guardians, and to set foot in the Wilds, and it wasn't until a singular, pivotal, event that I was granted my wish. Devil Walkers are pretty mean. With their 4" main gun, they can do significant damage to most structures, buildings and other encampments, but not the wall. It was fortified; bristled with guns, and Defenders, like myself. That is until they attempt to fire over it. It happened in an instant: a crack shot with a plasma cannon on it's joint, a small explosion of dirt, a slight adjustment of it's barrel, and then the shot that was meant for a Guardian on the ground was headed straight for me. I felt the impact, first, then gravity. I was falling, so fast and true, I thought that I was dead. It wasn't until I heard someone shouting in my ear that I understood I had survived. The surveillance footage tells the story better than I could, but effectively a Hunter, equipped with a jet pack, saw my fall and took to the sky. He grabbed me, but before he could descend gently, another arrant shot took out his propulsion. His Warlock cast what could only be described as a "spell" on the ground below us. Some green bubble that slowed our fall -- but then he was there. When we were backed against the wall, he stood there, protecting us all. The Titan. All of us were injured, he was too, but he stood, stoic, defiant, and proud. Shot after shot, he took them. For us. This was the man I was destined to be. The Warlock began to mend all of our wounds, and the Hunter took out any Fallen that would take one step into his sights, but the Titan.. Like a rock, he stood. This is the single most evocative image in my memory. We won the fight, with the assistance of another fire team, and staggered back to the gates, but from that point on, I knew -- My path was clear.
