Shiny hatching is so damn annoying and frustrating and tome consuming. Revan how the ffffff did you get a Shiny Froakie. Of course I'm referring to Pokemon X/Y. Any help/pointers would be appreciated on how to speed this up.

Edited by Lord Revan: 8/10/2014 2:03:31 PMMedusa Method (If you're not already using it). You need to breed two pokemon of different regions. Usually getting a Japanese Ditto is the best way. I actually have one with 6 perfect IVs that I use. It obviously isn't legit, but the pokemon bred from it are. Medusa Method increases the likelihood from 1 in 8,192 to 1 in 1,365.3 in Generaton V and it made it even more likely in Generation VI. I don't know if anyone has an exact percentage. I only ever tried for a Froakie and got it on about egg 130 which was incredibly lucky. It has 31 IV's in HP, Special Defense, and Speed. And, on top of that, it is Timid so it has max speed. (I use it for Mat Block mainly and Blizzard damage) I also have a shiny Hitmonchan (Gen VI) and Absol (Gen V) which were both just luck of the draw. They too are the right natures and have good IV's.

If you like water types, I did the Chain Fishing method in Y and I got a shiny Relicanth in a day of doing it. It's pretty simple and there are quite a few easy to understand guides on Youtube.

Matsuda method worked for getting my shiny Charmander. Still haven't gotten my shiny Goomy though, and I've been trying for months.
