Introduction, How to run campaign maps in Halo Custom Edition

Halo Custom Edition can run a variety of custom campaign maps, and there are two ways to do this. The first, is to download a custom UI (user interface) that has a campaign feature listed, such as the one above, (available here http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?fid=1762). From there you will be able to download campaign maps, and place them in your map folder. When you click on the campaign option, you will notice that, even if you don't have all the original campaign maps, they will be listed, though you will not be able to play them, unless they are in the maps folder. The only campaign maps you will be able to play using this method, are the standard campaign maps, and maps based on them that have the same name e.g a50. The only way in which to play completely custom maps, is by editing the Halo Custom Edition shortcut from reading "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\haloce.exe" to reading "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\haloce.exe" -console". You can do this by right clicking the icon and selecting Properties. This will allow you to use console commands. Find your map in the multiplayer section, but do not select and click it, otherwise the game will exit, and a message will appear saying 'Gathering Exception data'. This is because halo custom edition was trying to play the campaign map as a multiplayer map. Instead, hit the ` key to bring up the console command bar, in which you will type map_name and then the name of the map, for example, map_name pinkloverssuperthingy. This will alow you to play all the custom campaign maps you want.
