Intro Thread

[b]Alias:[/b] DarkChildOfLight [b]Class[/b]: Warlock [b]Time:[/b] Random I live in Europe. Sometimes I'm on shifts and sometimes I'm working Mon-Fri. So I could be on at anytime of the day or night in your respective timezones. I can roughly let you know when I'll be online unto 7 days in advance. But even then, things may be subject to change. [u][b]About me:[/b][/u] I am a male. I am often asked about my gender due to my name and avatar on PSN. Currently, gaming, reading and keeping fit are my main past-times. I intend for Destiny to become my go to game on the PS4. It is for this reason that I dove into the bungie.net forums, seeking fellow guardians. I have never played an MMO or any shooter on the Xbox. My favourite online shooters to date are Battlefield Bad Company 2 and Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2. I can play in a team and I can play as a lone wolf. I prefer to play with a team. Its just more exciting, more intense and more rewarding and it cements friendships. It should be noted that I am by no means a skilled player. In my first shooters I was averaging a 0.80 - 1.1 K/D ratio. Even now that I feel a lot more confident in shooters I am still only ever between 1.3 - 1.8 K/D. I have never made it to a 2.0 K/D in any shooter. I am aware that K/D is of little importance in Destiny but I thought I would give you guys an idea of my overall level and so you should not have the highest expectations of me. I tend to use all weapons in the game, unless a weapon is considerably weaker than another. In this regard, I am able to play at any range or situation. I am well-rounded and a jack-of-all-trades. In some shooters I will have a favourite weapon or play style but I will practice all others because I like to change things up and rarely stick with one thing for too long. This may well change with Destiny but if I end up playing this game for years like I did with Street Fighter 4 then I will no doubt end up experimenting with other classes and combinations, as well as keeping my own unique specialisation. Offline I have enjoyed many RPGs and Strategy games such as the Final Fantasy series and Sid Meier's Civilization series. The only online strategy game I have played (and loved to bits) was a RTS by the name of Endwar, which I never played lone wolf ever and I had some of my best ever online gaming experiences there. I am a big fan of fantasy and historical fiction books. I love films like The Matrix, Star Wars and Lord of The Rings. I have enjoyed games with great lore such as The Elder Scrolls. I feel that Destiny brings together many of the worlds that I have enjoyed in books, film, gaming and even some of my childhood dreams. I have even brought my love of these things into the forums. I will be brand new at this come 9/9/14 but I am eager to participate in PvE, PvP, Raid and whatever else the game has to offer with you guys and others. Speaking of which, I have been invited to many clans. I joined a few simply to get to know people but who my main clan will end up being will not be known until I have played with a few people. Also, because of the fact that I have not played the early builds of the game, I am unable to select a PS4 clan on bungie.net. I was invited to Apathy by Shadow Wolf, who I had been speaking with on these forums already. Feel free to ask me any questions.

GalanxG81 Warlock Sunsinger PvP main Prefer Pulse Rifles and Fusion Rifles I excel at positioning and mid range combat and prefer team death match. IMO cooperative team play and constant communication are musts in order to play to the team's fullest potential. Usually available on weekends between 12-6pm Weekday availability will vary.
