Fallout 3

The first time I walked into the world of Fallout 3 and realized that I was in downtown DC. Sure it wasn't true to scale, and there were some subtle differences, but if you live near DC and have actually been there, it blows your mind when you see a site from the game, and say "Holly crap, I killed a super mutant here!"
This happened to me when I was standing beside the reflection pool in DC. I had vision of those damn radrats running out of the sewer, and super mutants screaming at me from the distance. If only there were a few overturned cars nearby. lol

Mario Sunshine also stands out to me. The first time I saw ICO. Not going to work to play Ocarina of Time. And I don't mean calling out sick, I mean I just didn't go. Didn't call...nothing. I even put a huge blanket over my front room window to block out the sunlight. (It was a pizza delivery job, what can I say... They didn't fire me). The original Tony Hawk Pro Skate on ps. My friends and I must have wasted days playing SKATE against each other. Half Life was the game that really got me into FPS as a hardcore FPS fan. Before that I had only dabbled randomly on my Mac with Doom, Wolfenstein and Marathon. XIII was the game that got me into online competitive FPS gaming. It came before Halo 2. It had many problems but it was so good. Lots of personal stories with me and XIII. That's actually where I met Rinjin. That's how far we go back. I played XIII so much I was ranked 27 in the leaderboards. Not bad considering there were a few guys who cheated the system. I remember the 1st place guy, Sgt Taz would host a game and he had friends who would protect him and let them kill them to boost his k/d. And if you killed him, he would boot you. Rinjin and I would often go into his games and gang up on him. It was pointless but we did it anyway. So many memories. XIII probably ruined all my future social skills and it for sure ruined a few relationships with some girlfriends. Later, H2 would do the same.
