Raid Preparing Tips (Clan Input!)

I wanted to start a small thread to start some community action. This thread consists of just some general tips that the trailblazers are uncovering about the end game. So I did the weekly strike with a clan mate. When i switched to my Arc Fusion Rifle i was destroying things due to the variant "Arc Burn" (Increased arc dmg on BOTH sides). For an example we killed the spider in like 2 minutes. But in turn the Fallen were hitting me for twice the amount. Having said that, i am now on a hunt to get guns of every element and slowly starting to upgrade them. I believe this concept will persist going into raids and nightfalls.... and we all need to properly prepare for them. This will make the difference between a 2 hour run and a 40 minute run. anyone else have any thoughts on the subject or a new tip?
