Midnight release?
Is anyone else getting Destiny the morning it's released? I hate being Pacific Standard Time because everyone else will be hours deep by the time I join in.

6 RepliesI've pre-ordered mine from amazon so I guess it'll be there on the 9th when I get back from work. Anyway my family comes first, so I'll only be playing after my boy's gone to bed and my partner had a bit of TLC. Then I'll put a do not disturb sign and put on my best "keyboard face" as she calls it. Can't wait for the 9th

I ordered the limited edition on GameStop and at that time it said in store pickup wasn't an option, so I'll be sitting out by my mailbox waiting for my package on the 9th. Heres to hoping there aren't any delivery problems that day; I paid for releases date delivery but I've lost faith in the notion of garenteed delivery dates. >_<

2 RepliesI' m Pacific Time also, Central California area and going in before midnight to Game Stop and gonna bring a cane and fake my hip hurting and cut in line in front of all the underage kids...Gonna play it up...an watch their little faces melt when I wave both platforms at them and say, ' I can because I have credit cards and you don't '............suck it up kids, guitarmama54 has a solar system to save.........HAHAHAHHAHHHA...I AM an EVIL old broad !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously,,, I will be there about 9 or 10 pm, hide my hip flask in my back pack, ( a nip or two to take off the edge of anticipation) and not MOVING till I get my PS3 and my Xbox 360 LE edition and staying up ALL NIGHT to play......a brief nap, breakfast,t lots of coffee, take my daughter to day program , take a nap and start all over again....My household is eating take out on the 9th and 10th....they are being prepped for that in advance.... Will play Xbox 360 till dawn then switch over to PS3 after a brief am nap and play all afternoon on PS3.... I am not a normal Baby Boomer woman.......but never said I was !!!!!! There will be plenty for us to do RAW when our hands pop that sucker in the drive....unless you're digital ....

14 RepliesI'm still confused when Bungie will be turning on their servers? I have heard they go on 00:00 hrs PDT? The recent post from Bungie stated midnight somewhere? I think ill rest up, take Tuesday off, and wake up at 6 am to blow it up! Cheers

I am ahead of most of the clan member 3 to 13 hours. But sceptical that server will go live at my time zone of GMT+8. There is no midnight release in my country. Just have to wait for the morning.

I'm not picking my copy up until the evening of the 9th on my way to work. Won't get to play until the morning of the 10th when I get home. I have to work that night as well so I'll probably just load the game and download day 1 patches, create a character, run through a mission or two. Yeah. Just a mission or t... oh look time to go to work again.

I'm a digital one but it won't unlock for me till 2am. I'm lucky enough to have every Tuesday and Wednesday off so I can stare at new games like that girl from the Exorcist so I'll be up waiting to go. I'll take my kid to school at 7:30 and be right back at it till I pick her up. Then back at it again while she plays her 3DS. I might shed a few tears when I go back to work Thursday but even then I'll be up till 2 or 3 am shooting Fallen in the face.
