Clan Connection temporarily unavailable due to maintenance

Hi all just wanted to inform all of you newcomers, and current members that I've awoken ( little destiny pun there sorry my bad I couldn't reaist) to the news that the clan connections thread has been handed over to the admin and is currently undergoing maintenance at present. What does this mean for me? This means that for now anyone wishing to ally is temporarily unable to ally with the DoD collective but not for long whilst our dadmins do a lot of work to align the clan connections to the website, and to flesh out what it looks like here on bungie.net what happens to my alliance request now? It may have to be resent once the clan connections thread resurfaces after it's maintenance period. why was it taken down? As you're all probably aware out admin guardian of dcf recently parked up his sparrow and stepped down from his admin duties to attend to other things, and he was still in control of the clan connections thread. He's put in so much work over the past few months with this and he's now handed it over to the dadmin team to update, flesh out and to be brought back to the group with a fresh face. can you explain why May alliance request hasn't been accepted when it was up? Following a conversation from earlier yes I can now issue a response. It seems that bungie has placed a cap on how many clans can be allied with which I was unaware of. Guardian of dcf had found a clever work around for this and we will look into implementing the same strategy with his help so we don't encounter any member inconvenience, and can accept alliances knowing they have been made. I'd like to thank you guys for the patience and understanding you've shown to date and the amazing support you each give, and hopefully when the clan connections thread returns it will be an awesome resource that will live up to the standard that guardian of dcf had set. Many thanks again guardians and I'll sticky this in order for the dadmin team to keep everyone updated with what's happening Kp
