Starting an Idea for a Game, Would like some Help

Hello all! I am AHGM, or Aaron if you wanna call me that. So the idea of creating a game has always tantalized my thoughts ever since I got Red Faction 2 for the PS2 a long while ago. But all of my ideas have fallen short for various reasons. But, being a part of a new community, having the ability to communicate with people all over the place with different ideas, has re-sparked the fire a little bit. My idea comes from watching my younger brother play Bloodborne. A mechanic that I have found really amazing about that game is that a lot of the weapons you find and use have a secondary mode in which changes the fighting style the player uses the weapon. I watched and thought of what someone could do to kind of expand on that mechanic. Finally I had an idea. Why not have a game where the player can almost build the weapon they want? A Skill Tree-like set where the player starts off with a basic weapon and depending on what the player chooses to pick as the next upgrade determines the next, on and on until you meet a final result. GRANTED there could be a lot, I have envisioned what a sword tree would look like, it is kind of massive. BUT this way the player could have EXACTLY what they desire when playing a game. I know its a rough, basic idea that would honestly be one concept of the entire game, but that is where I want to start. From there we could create a larger arsenal, story, creatures/enemies, and everything else that would go in. ANYONE willing to help out with this feel free to shoot me a message and send me ideas. If it takes off well enough then I will do my best to get it done, or have some of you join me on this quest. (P.S.: I have a laptop with Windows 10 on there, which comes with Cortana, a PDA kind of thing, and I got her referring to me as Guardian :P)
