I personally think that Kabr tore himself apart and became the pool of light we see in the Templar phase. Whatever remained became the relic, where I believe he still lives on in.

  • Good point which might be why the relic spawns there.

  • Kabr used Vex flesh and his own light to make the relic. He was also the one who brought the cleansing light in to the Templars Well but that isn't not his fate. In a Grimoire he talks about cutting a "wound" in to the Vault and pouring in the light. In later cards he talks about how he is no longer himself.

  • Another person on a older post brought up a question or more so a statement on the vex making the mythoclast as we all know, but bungie saying it would be the weapon that could be most crucial in CE. They then stated (yeah going a bit off topic but ill get it connected) that the vex was the one weapon to bring light to the dark. They surmised that the VOG was a training ground to prep gaurdians for the hive invasion. Which they state was crota and which i would tend to believe would be oryx as crota wasnt that big a deal beyond his sword. So how does this tie together. Maybe Kabr knew and it was when he became one with the vex that they were able to see the damage and hell the hive would bring. Maybe it was more the vex absorbing kabr into their consciousness?

  • That's an interesting thought, but its one I can't really see (if that makes sense) All the Vex want are to control time and space. Just one mind managed to convert Mercury in to Vault in a space of days. I'm sure a few jumped up bugs wouldn't really bother them. But you still have substance to be right. I think the Vex took an interest in Kabr since he developed an unhealthy obsession with them and their Vault. When he first entered through the spire he did have a full team with him, but as he entered he started to forget them (its on a Grimoire and he says something like "I entered the Vault alone. But I couldn't have been alone, but I was."). This leads me to believe that the Vex sent the rest of the team in to oblivion and erased their existence, causing the memories of these people to fade. Kabr however did something that maybe really sparked the interest of the Vex. He brought the light in to the vault. VoG is designed to be the nerve centre of the Vex's ability to time travel so you can imagine that punkass Titan tearing a hole in their and bringing in the light could be something they deem impressive. For a long time I though that Kabr could be Atheon. But Kabr does refer to Atheon quite a lot so maybe they arnt. By the way, in other Grimoire cards, Toland says that Crota is the youngest and weakest of several brothers. I think It could get hairy.

  • yes but we dont really know the vex's true motivation. It states gorgons can unmake us from time. So why not utilize that. I think that sure the vex use time and space. IE the black garden. Which i think is in an alternate universe where humans never existed or any space faring civilization in our galaxy. I am starting to wonder. That maybe like the story and the cards in the crota light eater lore. The three queens are not who we think. That they are the hive, cabal and fallen. The vex have a purpose yet to be stated. Hence if the destiny leak image is true. The vex show to be the final DLC. And the Hive, Fallen and then cabal then Vex again. Also could be why Deej says we havent unlocked all the secrets yet. Granted all we are doing is speculating at best. But i just get this feeling the traveler and speaker are involved in all this. And not how we are being told. Also think that Comet is going to be the coming of oryx. As for the crota part. yeah watched the video many times by mantis.
