Necrochasm needs major buff
Personally, I think that Necrochasm needs a slight impact buff, and make it so that kills in general have a 50% chance to thrall explode. That way the gun might actually be useful.
What are your thoughts?

I said this in other posts, but here are my thoughts, for what is worth. The Vex, the ultimate End Game weapon, in some respects it still is. Not for eveyone, bit for a lot of people. This gun had PVP'ERS up in arms about how unbalanced it was right? That it made PVP no fun Yada Yada yadda. So they nerfed it PVP and made it slightly better in PVE. I think with Necro they were afraid of making another Vex PVP disaster right? So they make a low impact auto, could be useful in PVE they thought, but hardly anyone uses those in PVP so maybe it will keep things fair? Thing is they suck in PVE too. Hers my solution... A perk. Yes a perk. Give it some perk, that against minions of the darkness it does damage equivalent to if it had somewhere between 10-15 impact, but in PVP it was it's normal 2 impact. This is all assuming they didn't want people to have a god gun in PVP, if that's the case a perk would solve everything, and make the gun good. But as it stands, why run Necro, when I can run Abyss Defiant and save a slot?

Just got it yesterday, and I was hopeful dispite the reviews and what others were saying... But sadley this weapon is not all that great.... Just remove cursebringer and put firefly in its place and up the clip size to at least 60-70... And buff the impact slightly In its current state... The necrochasm is not worth the effort you have to put into it, to get it.... Other than a trophy for your vault... Compared to other weapons this is just an art piece.... Look at it to appreciate the effort in getting it... And then switch to a useful weapon.

If you Max stability it's serviceable. But in no way good. It one clip one kill in crucible but white guns kill faster.

1 ReplyAm I the only one that thinks this gun is fine the way it is? Yes, it could use a buff, but wouldn't every other gun? Not every gun can be the best there is. I just got the necrochasm last night, and I enjoyed using it. It has 3 abilities, which is awesome. The stability upgrades aren't really needed, so I just upped the impact on the first row of upgrades, and maxed the reload. 339 attack, arc damage on an auto rifle. It's great. Yes, I understand it's not the greatest for long range firefights, but why should it be? It's a small gun, kind of like an smg, and it's perfect for close range to maybe mid range firefights. Put on a sniper for long range and you are good to go. I think it's great as it is

Impact and more ammo, needs to either have the field scout perk or around 70 ammo from the get go.

5 RepliesPossibly the biggest high i have ever received in this game when i was rewarded the Crux, then moments later the biggest disappointment i have ever felt. Necrochasm is about as useful as No Land Beyond. Use it on strikes for fun but thats about the extent of it.

3 RepliesThe explosion should be 100% on critical kills/headshots, christ any gun with firefly is better. Impact buff would make it usable as well. Part of me would want the focus fire perk added but I think that's just cause I love that perk.

More impact, larger magazine (at least 60 rounds). Also, you should get Cursed Thrall explosions 100% of the time, just like with the Firefly perk.

If they kept all of its other stats the same and gave it the impact of For the People, I think it would be better
