Wouldn't you love to see this changed : A few suggestions from a 400+ hour player...

Dear Bungie / DeeJ First off I'd like to say thank you. Thank you for such a time consuming game with lots of various challenges and a fantastic gameplay. Destiny is a great game, no doubt. But with every great thing comes improvements or changes sometime. The greatness won't last forever. This is how I currently feel about Destiny. With this post I've gathered suggestions and potential improvements to the game from all different kind of sources. Articles, my own experience and player feedback on these forums as well as talking with people online. Because Destiny really is a great game with even greater potential which is why I'd love to see these changes... So, here goes... 1. Vault size. I know, I know, you've heard it countless times before and so have I, but I still can't help myself to say it once more; we need more space in the vault. The entire vault of mine is filled with weapons, emblems, materials, armor, etc. for which I'd like to store and take out whenever I need it. It's not that I don't use every single item I have stored, because I do. I store most of my materials and weapons as it is easier to access on each of my characters whenever I need it. We need a bigger vault. 2. Easy access to the vault. I don't like having a 5-6 minutes loading screen whenever I need to pickup a certain weapon I have stored in the vault, or store it so that one of my other characters can access it. It takes forever for you to get there just because you forgot to take out a single item from the vault that you needed to do that Nightfall strike. I say we get access to the vault from orbit. That would be very convenient. 3. In-game reputation / grimoire. Why exactly is it we can't our reputation or grimoire cards in-game? Every time I want to see how far I am from getting to the next rank with Dead Orbit, I have to use the app or my computer. That's absurd. With every other MMO-game out there, you have access to see these reputations in-game. Why is that not possible with Destiny? 4. A fair loot-system for the skilled player in Crucible. A guy with the worst score of 785 and the most lousy K/D of 0.13 gets Hawkmoon. A guy with 4.5 K/D and 6.500 points gets a rare engram and a useless shader that he already had on each of his characters. How is that fair to any player? It's not. It would be great to see the skilled players getting rewarded for their hard work. I know you have Trials of Osiris inbound, but with the selected game mode you rely as much on your teammates. The skilled player still gets nothing if the team loses, I guess. I don't say the skilled player should have a reward for every great game, I say he should have a bigger chance of getting the better rewards when doing good. 5. Transmogrification. Destiny has its personality. So does the way we play the game. How we choose our subclass and weapon load-out. But when it comes to our gear, there's only the best gear with the same appearance to all players. If we had transmogrification we would be able to change the appearance of the gear to look like some other gear but still have the same stats and perks. It would personalize the game even more. 6. More cutscenes, more storytelling. Destiny has an amazing story. It's just too bad that half of the story and mysteries behind it lies in the grimoire cards. What is the Traveler? What are the Fallen? Why are the guardians enlisted from the dead? And why exactly is there gravity on the Moon? Take, for example the first part of the game and thus the game's story; all cutscenes were amazing and really detailed to what actually happened, but gradually begin to emerge fewer cutscenes and thus less history. We want the story with us when we play Destiny... it's a good story. 7. Skipping cutscenes.
"Oh god. I've seen this cutscene 781 times already. Why can't I skip it?!!"
It brings frustration with us when we can't skip the cutscenes we've seen multiple times. We really want to skip it. We want to skip the cutscenes. And yes, we want to skip the cutscenes. Every time we do The Black Garden mission we have to watch the same cutscene which goes on for several minutes. Time is money, they say, which is why we want to skip the cutscenes. We want to get on with the game and progress some more. That's the reason why we love Destiny - through progression... Oh, and did I mention we want to skip the cutscenes? If not, I just did... skip... skip... skip... 8. In-game matchmaking. Before you say anything, I'm not talking about automatic matchmaking like with the strike missions. Here I talk of a way for us to connect to other players like we do on LFG-websites. An in-game LFG, if you'd like, where you can post threads, reply to threads as well as invite people from the articles through your console. With this in-game LFG you wouldn't have to use your smart device or computer to setup a fireteam for the raids. You'd only have to hit the option button, as we already do so often, and select the LFG section and start searching or posting. From here you would be able to see every fireteam that needs more members for their activity or receive notifications for whenever somebody replied to your post. The post should automatically be erased from the LFG site once the fireteam is full. Also the post should display the requirements, activity and time, just to make it easier for everyone. The in-game LFG system would still, as we do on the LFG sites, let us carefully select and invite members to our team to ensure we get the right people. 9. Meaningful clan-integration. As for now, a clan is completely irrelevant. It not necessary to join a clan in order to find people for your activities or to do anything else, for that matter. I do have one suggestion though; clan bounties. A bounty you can only complete with people from the same clan. Skirmish clan bounties, Crota's End clan bounties, etc. And there should be greater rewards than the usual bounties. To be honest I think upgrading materials would be enough. It would give the clan-bounties a purpose for us to complete. 10. Raid bounties. Clan bounties is one thing. Raid bounties is another. We have several different bounties to do every day, yet we don't have any bounties for the raid. What if we had a weekly raid bounty to complete in order to gather some extra legendary materials like radiant materials, or to receive a glimmer drop boost until the weekly reset or even something else? The raid bounties shouldn't be as easy as the daily bounties, though. I mean, it shouldn't be like "Kill 100 Thralls inside Crota's End" or "Slay The Templar inside Vault of Glass", etc. It should be challenging. Say The Templar, for example. How about a bounty where you have to defeat him without letting him teleport? See, that's not only challenging but exiting and different from the rest of the game... and yet, it is not. 11. Sharing your bounty. With a great MMO, comes a lot of activities, which is why it can be hard to remember everything you have to do. You might forget that one bounty from The Bounty Tracker in The Tower, but your friend did not. With all the loading time getting to The Tower, it would save us a lot of time to get the bounty... if only your friend could share it with you. But he can't. Sadly. 12. Trading consumables. I see why you didn't make trading possible in Destiny. Why should you be able to trade that Vex Mythoclast you just got from Vault of Glass, when your friend havn't even completed Vault of Glass on Hard? Seems unfair, I know. But why not let us trade consumables like heavy synthesis and such if someone in our fireteam runs out during the raids. We would love to see that. Again, we wouldn't have to go to The Tower in order for us to continue. 13. Helmet free option. I know we're in space, and I know there's no oxygen. But guess what, there's also intellectual robots, spaceships and resurrections in Destiny, so why shouldn't we be able to breath on The Moon without a helmet? We created our characters the only way we could; by customizing our face, hairstyle, colors, etc. - but we don't even get to see our customization when trying to shot that annoying Thrall chasing us through the entire map. 14. Combat wheel. Whenever we fight all sorts of different mobs and we eventually run out of ammunition, it is always a good thing to use an ammo synthesis in order to get back in action. The only problem, though, is that it takes about 10 seconds for us to use them. In other words; enough time for the enemy to kill us if we do not hide while scrolling through the inventory to use the synthesis. A combat wheel with access to all three types of synthesis would solve the issues. Having access to selected weapons would also be great. It means fast swapping and getting back in action with the right load-out quicker. 15. Rare mobs. Like so many other MMO games, there are rare mobs. If you're not already familiar with these mobs, they are mobs who distinguish themselves from other mobs. They can be harder to kill, have a lot more health or deal more damage than usual mobs do, but they are also more rare to find. Also these rare mobs drop items with a greater value. Let's say for Destiny these mobs would have the possibility of dropping legendary items, strange coins, lots of synthesis or anything else with greater value than green items and glimmer as we usually get. I really hope you'll see this, Bungie / DeeJ. Most of them are at least worth considering! That's all I have. Bump and upvote if you agree to at least one of them. Thank you! // Q-min4t0r
