Before anyone asks: We know you want more room in your Vaults for your favorite weapons. We know how much you want it. We want that for you. It's a think we're talking about. New game features take time to build. Hang in there, and hope for the future.
Simply add pages that are scrollable with R1 or L1 or equivalent.
Everything in the layout is the same, a grid for armor, a grid for weapons, then a grid for other items.
When 1st page is full, simply hit R1 while in vault screen and go to next page and select item to pick up and take with your character.
Edit: Actually even easier is to open an additional area in the tower through one of those unused doors like they did in the Eris dlc mission areas with additional vaults simple copy and pasted just like the originals. That way, no items in players storage would be affected, and players can use both the old vaults and the new vaults at their leisure. Trying to fit it on one screen or propose drastic systemic changes was and remains totally -blam!-ing unnecessary.
It wouldn't probably be that hard to add access to these multple vaults on the mobile app etc either
This is super simple

Big vault space thread of ideas: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/111691911/0/0

This shows how the vault could be fixed along with other great ideas youtu.be/ZKz4Bx0GRUc

We should just combine all the vault sections, then sort with tabs. My misc section is full from synths, currencies, and rng shaders that I can't readily replace. My armor section is almost empty because I keep all the armors on my characters.

Please, we need abundant space sooner. There's got to be a way to provide more storage in this next update before House of Wolves. Whoever programmed this game actually did a pretty good job I think, and I think you guys can get in their and get something that works for us together soon. Abundant space really helps us be able to exchange items and collect engrams and dismantle them without cramming up the postmaster box and having to make several trips to deal with it. If anything, it wasn't last gen systems holding back vault space - it was the app. Maybe. Idk, please help Bungie!

I don't see why a simple fix like this would take 6 months to implement.... https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/87629716/0/0

Aw man I really need some vault space asap. Right now I'm stuck having to keep stuff on all 3 of my characters with almost no more space in each of their inventories
-
Pls bungie
-
Oh yeah just do this. And this. And that. Provide them with the code if its so easy to do.
-
Do you realise how hard that is to do?? Lol
-
Bump nice idea. Needs to be done once uve got nearly all exotics theres no room for anything else across 3 characters
-
This would improve the game. It won't happen.
-
bump, been saying this since the dlc was announced. EASY fix.
-
Or simple make the grid division arbitrary instead of having 20 fixed spaces for each. Like leave all of the 60 slots there but make the "category dividers" move to accommodate what you have. Personally I use only a few for armor, all from the weapons and still have a couple of spare slots on the general items. So just by doing that I would gain at least 10 additional slots for weapons or whatnots without having to change a thing on the layout or introduce paging.

Lmao. Bump - I was destroying my precious weapons earlier to make space for new ones. I nuked my Galahad with stability and fitted stock by mistake. Give it baaaack!!!
-
You must be the smartest man alive, since bungie was stumped on how to do it

Edited by GreyPooponya: 2/1/2015 2:21:54 AMI've been working through my vault for like 2 hours now so I can create a warlock instead of the second hunter. I wonder if they do this on purpose because it almost becomes another game within the game to shift around goods and switch characters. Like solving a puzzle.
