The Fallen and Cabal are not with the Darkness. They are similar to us... Trying to escape it. The Fallen are roaming space pirates, while the Cabal are running from it, and Earth just so happens to be in there path. The Hive and Vex are another story. The Vex worship the Heart of the Black Garden, which is a sort of conduit for the Darkness. The Hive are literal soldiers of the Darkness...embracing it.

The fallen were made from the darkness and were created without a purpose and they never seemed to share with the others pieces so that's why they hit earth head on and they try to destroy the traveler so they become kings of the darkness

You could offer down the line an opportunity to leave the vanguard and join the fallen cabal to fight against the traveller. Then crucible wouldnt be a simulation! Hehe

Just imagine how awesome it would be... come to think of it... the fallen houses...similarities to the guardian factions? FWC Dead Orbit and New Monarchy. History is repeating itself. The grimoire for the stranger. Ive stood here again and again etc.
