So is the top middle window strategy for crota cheese or legit? What do you guardians think?
Edit:also who thinks they will patch it so the spot is not safe from boomers?

Watch the video of the first team to do hard. They beat the whole thing in like 27 mins and dealt with boomers legit. Too crazy

I don't think it's a cheese at all, it's being strategic and staying out of the boomers effective range.

I also don't think it's cheese. You can do the exact same strategy from the left and it works just the same. And you do need to take down boomers for middle or sword carrier gets slapped.

I Think it's not a cheese and its 100% legit. But I am sure they will remove this spot and and make it impossible to survive there. Why? Because they especially included the Wizards to spawn and now we're abandoning them. Come on, it probably took them ages to write the script for them to appear so bungie wants them to spawn so that we appreciate their hard work they put in this game.

Legit. Maybe if it wasn't such a deathtrap, we could run around in that nice open space in the middle but no. We're stuck in a box to begin withonly to move left of that box or slightly in front of thd box. Ogres? Go run in their box! This game has more boxes than flipping Crash Bandicoot!

In a real gunfight, are you going to be disappointed you survived because you weren't hardcore enough to dodge fire in the open? In a sense, just like times vengeance phase of atheon, there's no one right or wrong way to do it, and there are risks/rewards with each strategy. You can stay on the ledge but you have less visibility to the arena, and if swordbearer decides to run to one of the ogre rooms out of site, you may end up with a wipe from lost timing. Plus, you can't stay there for ogres or when crota moves to the sides. Just because the wizard mechanic exists doesn't mean you're 'meant' to face it, it just means that you can't kill the boomers and get a minute off.

I think if Bungie patches the middle window they'd be taking away much of our freedom in how we want to play the game. It's not a cheese or an exploit, just a simple strategy to minimize the number of factors at play. Kinda like atheon's random teleporting...I was really upset when that happened because you could no longer have a specialization within your group. Granted, it made everyone become a more rounded player, but aren't RPG's about building a character and a play style that fits you?

I ran VoG yesterday and legitimately had to leave after 35 minutes on Atheon. 4/6 "experienced 31s" couldn't use the relic. I'm totally down with helping and being patient while you learn, but don't lie and say you're experienced. I had to go to class in a bit and figured I could get my third in lol.

Unless bungie comes out and says "this is how you are supposed to do it" then there is no legit or right way to do it. Meaning that everything except for making crota kneel (which was patched) is simply strategy. Just because someone does it easier or more efficient doesn't mean it's cheesing. But like I said, until bungie tells us which way is the right way, then no one is right.
