I am a firm believer in No Cheese, but with the amount of GAMEBREAKING bugs and glitches I've encountered inside this raid it and Bungie can go -blam!- itself.

Like what man its just how they want you to play the game figure out how to kill crota with no sword because it vanished or down crota when he regains his shield killing the oversoul thats was demolished but still alive

My buddies and I have come to learn that those issues are caused by bad connections in the fireteam. If you so much as experience some enemies teleporting or a sword disappearing you gotta go to orbit, reset your routers and get everyone back together and go at it again. We did this right away after experiencing some lag and glitches and CE ran extremely smooth afterwards. Bad connections = wasting heavy synth and more glimmer farming.
-
Go to orbit and reset your routers...um no! The issues in the last few days have been caused by both Microsoft and Bungies servers not player connections. Microsoft even had messages up saying the very same. Your router doesn't mysteriously slow down when playing destiny and your isp doesn't suddenly loose 500 packets a second. Going to orbit isn't going to fix shit (forgive my language).
-
Going to orbit because why reset your router in the raid? I had issues all day until I reset my router and then had zero issues. If your having connection issues the Xbox one system even recommends a router reset, how is that such a far fetched sounding fix? It worked for us. If it helps you too great, if not.. Idk

Same here

Edited by Penhalion Wolfe: 1/27/2015 1:25:06 PMBecause your router isn't the cause of the issue it's the connection and drivers on the xbox itself. All you've actually done is force the xbox to re-initialise the network connection at it's end because it could no longer find the one it was using. This also re-logs you on to XBox live from scratch which will 9/10 give you a better connection anyway. Let me put it this way I've had the same results whether I reset my router or the xbox. If it was the router then one of those actions should make no difference. Also if (when experiencing these issues) you look at the service readout in your network settings you'll notice it saying xbox live is having issues with user login and store. Logging back on will initialise a fresh connection to xbox live where as your old connection was likely getting nuked by the xbox live servers.
-
That sounds about right. Thank you for clarifying a bit for me! either way shutting down completely or the router reset should definitely help out it seems
-
Sadly either solution is 5 minutes of life we'll never get back. ..
-
Much better than wasting an hour with glitches if it helps out! Haha
-
Agree 100%
-
Sorry to nitpick, but there aren't any "gamebreaking" glitches or bugs in the raid. Something gamebreaking would be like your character data getting deleted or getting stuck in the Tower permanently. Sword disappearing or Crota jumping off his platform are terrible glitches, sure, but it's a five minute inconvenience.
-
5 minutes multiplied by the number of occurrences hits can add up. Extending a raid time from 50 minutes to 100+ is not out of the question is complete bullshit.
-
I know what you're saying, I was just being particular about the "gamebreaking" part. Personally, I've never had glitches cause a raid time to double. Not saying it doesn't happen, because I've heard from quite a few that say the same thing as you. I feel your pain though, I've had raids that should be under an hour turn into 2+ hours, but that's because of random groups with idiots in them.
-
I'd argue it's game breaking due to the fact it strips the fun out of it.
-
what are these game breaking bugs u speak of?

Edited by Cheski87: 1/26/2015 10:33:38 PMCrota fight: Sword disappearing when you kill the swordbearer. Not letting you pick up the sword after killing swordbearer. Crota following sword carrier off of his ledge down to the center. Crota not going down to his knees when his shield is destroyed. Crota immediately getting back up after being dropped to his knee. Crota killing sword carrier while spawning oversoul. Knights glitching thru the glass at the beginning without a titan bubble down. Not getting credit for yellow damage on ogres with dead center headshots.
-
Some are glitches and bugs while others are sadly intentional. Crota giving chase is intentional. He will even sometimes chase the sword bearer to the left immediately instead of going right if you've dropped enough damage on him on the first sword. It's basically a cheese from bungie to nuke a good run! Sword disappearing is a glitch. It's got nothing to do with timing. The sword times out immediately. Crota not going down is also a glitch. This is because his shield is being wrongly reported to certain players. Grota immediately getting back up. This is another lag glitch. You've actually had crota down but, he hasn't updated in game and so everyone thinks he's still standing. By the time the game syncs he's getting back up again so you get an immediate down then up. Crota killing sword bearer while spawning oversoul is another lag bug. 9/10 times one or more fireteam members will have been yelling "Run crota's coming" while the sword bearer sees only crota looking at the fireteam and so get's twatted without ever seeing it happen. Knights going through glass is deliberate. It's probably why the radar isn't initially active as they will do this if no-one is looking at them almost 100% of the time. The shield only stops projectiles and not Hive Majors or Ultras. Ogre damage credit is another lag bug. You didn't hit the eye you hit where the eye was a few seconds ago. Again some fireteam members will likely be sitting there wondering why you're shooting the ogres ear and yelling "Oh f#$k off I hit that dead center!"
-
sword disappearing after u kill swordbearer is a timing issue, never seen Crota fall off the ledge thats crazy haha, whos to say the knights coming in arent part of the game? idk haha
-
Knights have always been able to go through the shield even on normal just like how the Wizards can fly out of them at death singer
-
Timing doesn't make sense, we ran the same strategy all night and either got full swords or no sword. If it was timing we should have had a couple of half swords. And that doesn't address the not being able to pick it up when it drops, looks to me like two sides of the same glitched coin. If it was timing why wouldn't the swordbearer disappear, why stay out with no indicator as to "Time's up.".
-
its all timing, your sword bearer was too slow, the sword despawns
-
Despawns immediately after killing swordbearer? I'm saying it never drops. Not 2-3 seconds after and then disappears but swordbearer dies and.... nothing.
-
well i havent seen that happen, but if u see the sword drop and it disappears, its a timing thing
-
Our team always gets the sword bearer down super quick but a couple times we killed him he would drop a sword and it would immediately disappear. Definitely a bug that causes a wipe
