If you're tired of people killing everything in strikes try this!
If you're like me and you rush past everything, but there's that 1 guy lagging behind killing stuff then help a guardian out. Get to the checkpoint and then kill yourself. More than likely you'll be the only guardian at that checkpoint when you are playing with these slow unhelpful people so it will just wipe the group and respawn everyone at the checkpoint you just died at. Easy way to tell if you're the only one at a check point is to just look at your radar. If you don't see any green on it then you're the only one in that checkpoint. So if you wanna be the boss and set the pace of the strike then give this a try!!!! Works well for me

I do this only if the bounty robot isn't giving "kill 100 enemies without dying" or "earn 9000 xp without dying" or "complete a strike without dying" If he isn't giving any of those bounties out, do your engram and xp farming in patrol.

I've even sometimes get to decode the 3rd cypher in sepiks prime strike before they get there. Then I solo the Walker while they die and kill the fallen scrubs

They're right next to me ready to fight Valus. Also some guy was ruining are vex major spot so we invited him to our team and booted him. I can do this shit all day haha

10 RepliesIm not sure if this is true for everyones experiences. But from my experience, I swear I get WAY more rare and legendary engram drops from strike mobs than i do from patrol mobs. I am pretty sure mobs during strikes drop engrams at a higher rate despite the popular belief. Thats why I kill everything during strikes. I can run a patrol for an hour and get hardly any engrams(maybe one or two blues), but during an hour of strikes I can more than often get 8-10 blues and the occasional legendary just from the mobs. Just my 2 cents.

One day, back when lvl 24 was the toughest strike playlist, I was doing Winter's Run with one friend and one random. I was helping my friend get the gold chest in the cave while the other moron ran forward. As my friend jumped to where the chest was and was [i]in the process of opening it[/i], our idiot teammate decided it was a good idea to get himself killed, sending us both forward to the wave defense. We ended up going for the other chest on the Ketch while he tried to do the wave defense on his own and died. Repeatedly. He ragequit at the Priest because he kept getting us killed and we let him know we weren't happy (this was before voice chat in matchmaking; we just repeatedly punched him) and then the two of us beat it no problem. TL;DR: this is a dick move, don't do it.

Just speed run it and finish it yourself. You know, that is if you're even capable of soloing the bosses yourself.

1 ReplyOnce in a darkness zone, I kill everything. If someone speedruns to the boss and kills him self. Fine, but I wont put any damage on the boss. Not in a hurry. If you play for a bounty. Play the low level strikes. I play the strikes how I want to.

I generally get more engrams/glimmer by killing everything than a speed runner. I understand you guys have done many a strike since release, but think of the new guys trying to play catch up. This is exactly why everything in the world is failing.

I do this. If it works, great. If not and they get butthurt and run back/quit, I just solo the rest. Haha.
