Everytime I ran through the raid doesn't matter what difficulty it is I'm always to blame. I can't hear half the thing my teammate say even though I have game sound muted and party chat volume max out. It become a burden when almost every team I go into the raid with end up kicking me just because they claim I can't "communicate" I'm partly deaf I tell people that just so they understand and yet still kick me. Now I feel my current group is gonna do that exact same thing because of crotas end HM. Half the time I feel like I should just give up and get rid of this game.
Edit1: glad to know there are people who support and/or have the same disability
Edit 2: I'm on the one and sometime 360. I appreciate that people offer to do the raid/weekly with them.
Edit 3: wow such amazing and surprising response from the destiny community.
Edit 4: I should be more clear about my current group. They tell me they wouldn't kick me out of the group but half the time I feel they will because of how frustrated it can be.
Edit 5:surprised people are still replying to this post. Make me glad that there alot of people that care on this game.

360. FireEmblem1000 . Add me, I will be sure that if we play, I will leave before you are kicked. -
I hate to see posts like these. I'm sorry ppl act this way and it pains me to hear how people can be so mean and complete aholes. I play on the Xbox one and my gt is dist0rt113 if you want to add me. I have a couple groups I raid with but don't raid often lately tho I plan to start again soon. I do the nightfall and heroics regularly and play lots of strikes and crucible. anyway, don't let it get to you, find good and decent ppl to play with, there are still plenty out there. this community is better than that.

i'm on the 360 and i'm always struggling to find people to raid with. i know how much of a bitch it is to find people, so i never kick anyone. plus, the fact that you are kicked from games for being partly deaf is a major dick move on their part. it's rude and uncool to pick on disabled people. -
People can be dicks....screw those people.

Posts like these restore my faith, because of all the nice responses :) cheers guardian, best of luck with your future groups. Feel free to add me on the one and message me.

If only I had an X-Box, man.

I've beat hard mode 8 times this week with several different rando groups on X1. Just add me. I'm sure i can find you a spot.

Add me dude I'm on Xbox one gt xj3ewok

That sucks man. The final fight of CE relies a lot on communication, you should try to work on a solution with your team.
-
Most of the people that play this game are tools. They only bug you for the -blam!-ing raid, never help with nightfall or weekly. -blam!- them and their prom. -blam!- Bungie and their shit development team too.

I too have a disability I stutter kinda bad. I haven't been kicked due to my disability but if I do and I have then as a friend I'm going to debate them. That's one of the meanest thing to do to a person because they have a disability. I just do my best and usually I do better than the rest. I try to communicate with them as best as I can but sometimes it doesn't work out well. Usually they can guess in what I'm trying to say. In the end we will finish it. For anyone who doesn't have a disability and trying to go negative on this you have no say in it. You don't have a disability you don't know what it is like. You don't understand the struggle we gob through every day. Until you experience it personally meaning yourself getting a disability you have no say. Alloy just do your best, hold your ground and dont back down. I'm standing here with you and every one who has a legitimate disability.

Most of the player base consists of people with the maturity equivalent to that of a toddler. If there are players out there would would kick you even after knowing that you are hard of hearing, are not worth playing with.

Xbox 360 hit me up as long as you can learn and play there is no issue

Edited by Mezuka: 1/26/2015 5:51:48 PMIf you're ever on 360 feel free to shoot me up for whatever, though I'm not 32 yet so I won't be much help against HM crota

Im deaf in my left ear, at least 90%. Although its not as bad as your situation, I understand. My group on 360 is quite patient and you can shoot me a message if you want to raid sometime. If a group explains strats and contingency plans when assigning roles, you should be fine.
-
Even if the group you are in don't kick you, its not great that you feel they would. There are nice people out there, that would help you. You don't need to settle for as*sholes. Goodluck :)

I have carpal tunnel in both wrists which is usually okay until I have played for around 2 hours straight. If I am on an hour at a time and take time between - I am usually okay. When I have done any VoG - I have sensed frustration from the team. But I have never been booted off because I usually hold my own. It is at the end that my hands might cramp a bit that causes me some pain. I feel for you brother - it is a sad feeling to have when you think you aren't holding up your end and sense frustration from the team. But if you gather a group of really nice players (and they do exist and many in fact) - that can understand your affliction - they will roll with you and probably easily compensate for you. Hard mode may cause some problem - but I believe with the right guys/gals - you can be aces there too. Keep your chin up and never give up the game because of selfish players. Just reading the responses below tells you there are tons of compassionate players out there that help handicapped people and noobies too.

Edited by Sideshock: 1/26/2015 4:53:06 PMIf ur on xbox 360 I'll play alongside ya :) add me if u like looking for people to raid with my team (of 3) gt same as on here :)

As somebody who suffers from autism, I know what it's like to encounter these blithering idiots who don't have an inkling of patience. My suggestion is to remove them from your friends list and hang around with good people. They do exist. -blam!- them OP, they don't know what it's like. And your disability is just making you stronger than they are.

What system if it's XBox 1 add me and u can ride the wave instead of getting pounded by the surf
-
Add me bud as long as you can hold your own who cares GT pugnutter

HMU on Xbox 360 if you play destiny on there. I can help you. I have passed the hard raid multiple times this week. I can be your Swordbearer. If you want lol. Just sit in the spawn, and let my team take care of everything.
