I completely agree with this. I have conqured the VoG over 100 times and have been lucky enough to complete two sets of the old raid gear. I loved the look and liked going into the Tower with something hat looked completly different. However, after all of the time spent in the VoG all of the old armor is now completely useless! The Vanguard gear that you buy is now higher causing the gear to be completely useless. I really think this was a horrible idea.by the Bungie staff to not allow the gear or weapons to be updated to the next higher level. By not allowing these items to be upgraded this means that the countless hours spent in the VoG; which IMO is a far better challenge than CE; will be useless and the VoG will be nothing but a distant memory when the HoW drops. I agree with the idea to use the MoL to upgrade the gear and armor because I do not use the MoL unless Xur sells the helm or Chest engram. I would even.be happy with a RGN deciding on what armor and weapon would be upgraded that week. I mean come on Bungie you already have the coding and concept in place with Xur so how much longer would it take to add this feature into the game? And please don't tell me it would take too much time, money, or effort... You have stated that you have an estimated $500 million invested to the game and a 10 year plan. However, the only part I don't agree with is the shards needed to upgrade the armor or weapons. I truly believe that there.should be one currancy to upgrade the armor and weapons. We (the players) still need to reupgrade the items so why not allow us to use the same currencies for all raid items? There is already too many different currencies between the Vanguard and Crucible Marks (which only the Crucible marks are good for the three other venders in the tower.), Strange Coins, MoL, Ascendant (Shards and Energy), and now Radiant (Shards and Energy). That is eight different forms of "currency" in the game where.you really only need just a select few. What will happen come HoW? Add a month and tenth form? At that rate there.could be almost twenty different "currencies" by the time D2 comes out. Which IMO is absolutely unnecessary and unwanted. I truly agree that the VoG armor and weapons need to be upgraded to be relevant in the game for years to come but the multitudes of different "currancies" need to be reduced.
