Thorn Bounty is FUKING stupid
Okay, this is why i deleted it the first time i got it. I dont do crucibles. Thats...back in like november.
Im about to delete it again because......well....I DONT HAVE ANY GODDAMN VOID DAMAGE SHIT!!! Its so stupid. Can we change that to Solar or Arc? Something EVERYONE has? I know theres a ton of people who have no void weaponry and are STUCK on this shit bounty.
Commentors, dont reply "quit bitching", "stop whining", "baby huntard got mad" or anything along those lines. Just leaving my feedback on what i think is the stupidliest bounty. Bad Juju i can cope with, 10,000 crucible points. Not a problem. Il just wait til iron banner to bang those out.
But this Void thing ain gonna cut it. I dont have the means to buy a void weapon good enough to kill Guardians in any crucible. I have little crucible mark and i spend Vanguard marks on materials that i need to upgrade my arsenal.
And no i dont want to wait til Xür sells thorn or bad juju. I want to finish these bounties so i can say "i EARNED this" instead of "i acquired this".

Not yo sound mean or nothing but if one of the reasons you cant get a void weapon is because your spending your vangaurd marks on mats then its hardly the games fault. Its a matter of priorities do you want a void weapon to do this bounty or do you want to buy upgrade mats for your current weapons? If you cant do both at the same time then pick one a grind the other like everyone else.

2 RepliesThorn is worth it. You can buy a void shotgun / fusion rifle or rocket / machine gun. Defenders and Voidwalkers have grenades and melees that count as void damage. Aethon's Epilogue is available on the normal difficulty of VoG which at this point is not hard at all. Like 30 minutes with a decent team. Join a clan or use LFG. Fight smarter not harder. There are like 10 threads a week with advice for this bounty. I've answered like a dozen times since Christmas. Try googling for tips

Just grab a void damage fusion rifle from the gunsmith, a green one is just enough, hop in crucible and use it and since there's no level advantages it'll be the same as a blue or purple, trust me I've done it like that

My wife picked up rare and green weapons to knock.down this bounty...since dmg is equalized...the weapons dont have to be perkles. Hope that helps you get more traction on that bounty

I did this with a common void fusion rifle as a level 24 bladedancer, and I'm absolutely terrible at PvP. Only took me a few hours to do it, so just suck it up. View my stats if you don't believe me.

You can do it. Do strikes and get vanguard marks and buy a void shotty from the robot. Play as blade dancer and use invisibility to your advantage. I took me over two months to hone my tactics. Watch ms 5000 watts on YouTube for pointers on crucible, she is an amazing crucible player.

I buy a void weapon (fusion or shotty) from the gunsmith and go bang out that bounty. If I acquire a void weapon from the crucible and it's better than what I currently have, I'll equip it. Simple as that. That's why I have two Thorns now and one on the way and I'm not even good at PVP. Just average. You get five points a void kill and lose two upon death. That means a 0/3 kid is needed to lose progress. Patience is a virtue. Edit: Also, bounty weapons can not be sold by Xur.

Use your teammates.....they are GREAT shields. Do not be brave. Go slow. I've abandoned this bounty 4 times before I learned this. Now, I only have 56 points left.

1 ReplyYou know, OP; I'm not a fan of the Crucible either. In no way do I like it. I don't care about it, it doesn't interest me, therefore I see no reason to even try to get "good" at it. That said; I've got two Thorn's. The Exotic bounties aren't that difficult, and from start to finish, I completed each bounty in just about four hours per bounty. Now I'm rocking one of the best Hand Cannons in the game, and I'm very happy that I persevered and pushed to complete the Crucible part of it. Did the two bounties change my outlook on the Crucible? Not in any way. I still think it's a worthless, messy abortion. But it advanced me a bit farther towards me getting these amazing weapons. The Crucible part isn't so bad as long as you stay focused and push to your goal.
