Thorn Bounty is FUKING stupid
Okay, this is why i deleted it the first time i got it. I dont do crucibles. Thats...back in like november.
Im about to delete it again because......well....I DONT HAVE ANY GODDAMN VOID DAMAGE SHIT!!! Its so stupid. Can we change that to Solar or Arc? Something EVERYONE has? I know theres a ton of people who have no void weaponry and are STUCK on this shit bounty.
Commentors, dont reply "quit bitching", "stop whining", "baby huntard got mad" or anything along those lines. Just leaving my feedback on what i think is the stupidliest bounty. Bad Juju i can cope with, 10,000 crucible points. Not a problem. Il just wait til iron banner to bang those out.
But this Void thing ain gonna cut it. I dont have the means to buy a void weapon good enough to kill Guardians in any crucible. I have little crucible mark and i spend Vanguard marks on materials that i need to upgrade my arsenal.
And no i dont want to wait til Xür sells thorn or bad juju. I want to finish these bounties so i can say "i EARNED this" instead of "i acquired this".

Just so you know; Xur will never sell Thorn or Bad Juju, so don't get your hopes up. I'd suggest you get a void weapon anyway though. Even if you need to save up for it, Thorn is worth the effort. Be patient, use your teammates as meatshields and you can get it with any void weapon. Don't even go for kills with it, go for assists. Camp, do every cheap method you can think of to get easy points. But if all else fails, grab any void weapon, doesn't matter how good or bad, and get a friend to join your fireteam in Rumble. You can get them to just keep running at you for free kills, you'll get in done in no time at all that way.

VOG and get atheons epilogue, or if you can get a void shotty that will do, I started this the other day and was down within a few hours the hardest part is xyor the unwed but you just have to be careful for that

Don't have void weapons and don't want to get them. Accept that u won't be getting thorn. Just as people who don't like raiding have to accept not to get raid gear.

i just trashed mine, not that i don't have a void weapon, which did take some time to acquire. (a void shotgun) My internet is not that great so I choose not to perform in the crucible. i just run PvE till a good hand cannon dropped for me. Now i have a full upgraded Hawkmoon 331 and I also have old 300 Devil You Know that dropped with some good perks. And my Latest and Greatest - Fatebringer 😀 (Finally) Like the other guy said, you have to make the decision if its worth it. I Myself have only done the Pocket Infinity, Invective, and SGA. Just use the vault of glass raid weapons the sniper and the atheons epilogue that's how I did it. It took me 1 hour, and I suck at the crucible( never play it ). It's worth the time though

1. Earn and acquire are synonyms bud 2. Xur cannot and will never sell thorn 3. It is really not that difficult 4. Understand that while you may want it, you have to do something you may not like to get it and you have to decide if that's worth it

Needs to stay the way it is, it's a challege, you just need to find you some void weapons....or try to get it on a Warlock.

It's an Exotic bounty - it is supposed to be tough. I did it as a level 26 Hunter with a blue void fusion rifle in about 15 matches not long after the game came out. It challenged me to learn a new skill and I was rewarded for the effort. I am currently working through it again after a long stint of not playing the Crucible (so I'm pretty rusty) and it looks like I am on track to have it within eight rounds or so. Granted, this latest run for Thorn is with MUCH better gear than the first time.

5 RepliesJust use a void damage shotgun, sniper rifle, fusion rifle or heavy machine gun like everybody else does. This is the best bounty in the game because it actually requires a small amount of skill you can't simply put in time to get it. Oh and..... PS The 500 points in PvP are the least of your problems, have fun with the epic strike you have to do to finish the bounty lol! Good luck your going to need it!!

I don't do crucible either took me awhile but I did it and I feel proud of it thorn is badass and worth it

I'm really good with a sniper so I was able to kill 4-5 people per life. So the crucible part took me about 2 hours. I just brought one person to help kill xyor. It's not a hard bounty honestly. But then again I was able to easily adapt to the conditions given to me. Plus I'm skilled with a sniper in crucible. [spoiler]BOOM HEADSHOT[/spoiler]

I did the entire crucible part with an uncommon void shotgun. Just find something like that and make it easy.

I'm on my second thorn bounty, have you looked at what weapons the quartermaster sells or do vog and try to get atheons epilogue. Also defender on titan works as the grenades are void and count towards your total and yes I think the elemental damage for the bounty should be random.i did mine with atheons epilogue, fusion rifle called the purifier and a rocket launcher called the validictorian. Stick with it dude thorn is worth it, good luck.

Try grinding your materials, so you can buy you weapons. Need a void primary? Get to the vault of glass. Atheon's epilogue is so-so, but it gets the job done.

Got mine today, been sitting on it for a while. Void bit ain't difficult, either snipe or run and gun with fusion or shotgun. Final bit was difficult, but went on forums found a couple of players and boom, three thorns.

Every so often the weaponsmith carries a rare fusion rifle with void damage. Just wait it out or play strikes until an engram gives you one. I had a hard time until I got a good fr with void. Then it was cake. And no offense, but you really should try and make a character that's not a hunter. If you can get that bounty with the warlock. Cake. I started as a hunter and made a titan 2nd. When I made a warlock finally it was like I had no idea what I was missing out on.

I got each of my 3 Thorn, by using following Primary: Atheon's Epilogue Special: Void Fusion, Shotgun, or Sniper Heavy: Corrective Measure or Truth If you have Titan / Warlock, than the Void Grenade and Melee kills also count. For the Warlock, the Nova Bomb kills also count. The key is to read the radar and pick your battles aiming for higher KD ratio. Play with a strong team. Know and bail out when you are on bad team. If having no luck, then rely on yourself by going into Rumble (that's where I did most of my Thorn Void kill bounties, but it would go lot faster in a Control match with a good team). Keep in mind, its points, not kills. So as long as you are using your void weapons, all your assists also count.

I used an uncommon fusion rifle, defender grenades, and corrective measure. If you have literally anything with void you can do it. Thorn is the only exotic I feel people actually "earn"

arent gun damage in crucible leveled? Legendary, exotic or rare all do the same (based on impact etc). Just use a blue

I did this with a void sniper rifle a long ass time ago. It was finished in an hour or two. Was easy and I never even played PVP on this game before when I did that
