I'm neutral... I'll be 100% honest, I bought destiny because of the amazing campaigns I played through the Halo franchise. I figured that this was going to blow it out of the water easily. It didnt... plain and simple. Destiny shows hints of brilliance, mechanics, physics, gameplay. The most vital parts to a game in my opinion. Enemy placement and how they react is superbly done. Look at how during the giant colossus raid you have phalanx just standing in the center of the room shooting at where most of the players are. The way the vex, position themselves and will charge you when their heads are blown while hobbys blast you. Notice how fallen never charge you when there are shanks around? It will never happen. It's those little things that show me that, there is a great amount if labor that went into this game. I just feel like something went wrong and they either rushed it out or have something huge planned in the future Unfortunately that is wishful thinking on my part. I really hope I am wrong Still, I've poured over four days of time into this game. I am the type type of person that says "if I've put more than 18 hours into a game it's worth the money" cause most games now a days last like 6 or 8 hours. It's worth it to me, would I recommend it? Only to those that I know don't mind games that have you grind, those that play pokemon, or grew up playing rpgs where you did that all the time. Anyways, that's why I'm neutral, it's kind of there, but it isn't at the same time.

I'd have to say that they were a good company but the partner ship with Activision is making them greedy and not seem to care about there fans.

Its proof that Bungie is nothing without Halo, hence why Destiny is just Halo with special powers and reskinned enemies and no coherent story...

Edited by T KRETT: 1/15/2015 3:12:16 PMI'll start. Negative because of the deception surrounding Destiny. Lack of improvements implemented. Glad to see Bungie is capable of starting a new IP though.

Thought the world of bungie, that feeling has been diminished, greatly. They use to be a company that made you get by on skill, not anymore.

Because it's all about the money

Edited by RedFaceGeneral : 1/15/2015 3:24:33 PMDefinitely in a negative way but destiny is only a part of the reason. The sacking of Marty and the subsequent refusal to pay him his due overtime wages fiasco really soured my opinion of Bungie.

Bungie has been actively making fixes and responding to the player community, and that is what we love about Bungie. However, Bungie's philosophy going into the game seem inapposite to what we love about Bungie. Just a few examples are the amount of special ammo in the Crucible, reserving the best gear for one activity, no matchmaking, and the upgrade path for weapons and gear when the DLC drops. And worse, rather than addressing these issues as problems, Bungie just touts the number of player accounts, drops the mic, and leaves the stage.

Although the story of Destiny is not great (Sorry Bungie) the game itself is really fun to play. Also it is nice that they are stepping away from Halo, and trying something new.
