Which of these do you think is the best open-world game series? If you don't think it's any of these, comment your choice.
Open-world may also be called sandbox or non-linear. It means any game where you are free to explore between missions and often do side missions unrelated to the main storyline.
I would have added more options, but there wasn't enough space :'(
I forgot Elder Scrolls. But, that's probably top of everyone's list anyway.

Just pick from the goddamn list, alright?
-

I voted for red dead but bully was brilliant
-
Its a tie between red dead redemption and assassins creed.
-
Voted for Fallout only because the Elder Scrolls series isn't on there.
-
On another note on free-roam, I'm excited about the game No Man's Sky. Seems interesting.
-
Honestly the last game that impressed interms of scope and openess was ARMA and Arma 2, i kno its a simulator, but seriously, just have a huge as country, with running/driving all in real time. A game like Skyrim on a Map like Armas would be epic
-
Shenmue
-
Where's the crew on this list. Anyone has seen it or played it would understand.
-
Elderscrolls without a doubt
-
Just Cause 2 and Darksouls
-
Tie between Far Cry and Borderlands for me.
-
Brutal legend
-
A suggestion: edit this post, dump Saints Row and add Elder Scrolls.
-
In the trailer of Destiny, they promised an open world game. As we spawn in on any planet, I climb the mountain next to me it says "TURN BACK IN 6 sec" -_- #bruh #really-blam!-
-
Went with Red Dead Redemption because Skyrim is a given. But RDD had a lot of depth in the different activities and had 5 distinct and well rendered environments to explore and perfectly captured the Wild West in all of its glory from old Mexico to the high plains and pints in between. Then again you might have to be old enough to actually remember westerns.

Leaves out Elder Scrolls Puts Borderlands as an option Lol
-
>leaves out JC2
-
I would have left out just cause and threw in elder scrolls series... I'd vote Skyrim or GTA5 for now. Those are pretty much setting the bench mark. Red Dead also mastered the art of open world. I loved the hunting and random "oh BLAM" moments (like a woman getting grabbed and you have to chase down her kidnapper). That stuff was always crazy feeling. Even after the 157th time.
-
Why. Isn't. Skyrim. ON THIS POLL.
-
On the list, Fallout. My personal favorite? Spiderman 2
-
Elder scrolls
-
Skyrim
-
Skyrim.... -blam!- all those dusty games
-
Out of the options on this list I would say any of them really, but skyrim is the best.
