It is certain that there are only 2 contenders for most disappointing game ever:
Halo 4- for many, the end of the Halo series because it was just too MLG FaZe xXxNoScOp3z-COD10v3rXxX, or Destiny- the highly, highly anticipated 'blockbuster' that turned out to be scrotum-numbingly boring and repetitive. Both are seen as overhyped, and big let downs.
Both are hated equally among fans... but which do you hate the most?

Edited by Ghost of Reach: 1/11/2015 3:12:26 AMDestiny was not disappointing because I didn't have too much hope for it in the first place. I knew the hype was just to get sales. Halo 4 was a disappointment though, it's what taught me never to get into the hype train, ever. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy both of them, but they weren't what the hype made them out to be.

Zoo Tycoon Animal Hospital, I thought you could like ride a lion into a hospital full of animals with a rocket launcher but it was for girls and gays, so over hyped

To be honest I quite liked both. Halo 4's campaign had it's moments and the multiplayer felt fresh. Destiny is a fun game, but the repetitive grinding side for me put me off, but I got quite a few hours out of it.

Halo 4: Wahh the MP's different Wahh wahh *cries* Destiny: ....Everything in this game is bad....

I love both. So fuk me i guess?

Halo 5.

Halo 4 was really bad but their was just so much hype for destiny that made it worse

Destiny is far superior to Halo 4. While both have shit storylines, Halo 4 is nothing but a continuation of the devolution of the Halo series, while only bettering the graphics. Destiny, on the other hand, is a new IP with a fantastic combat system and a progressive co-op system. Outside of graphics, there was nothing great about Halo 4. The combat would be alright if it wasn't a Halo game, but it's certainly a step down from the competitive wonders that are Halo 2 and 3. As a stand alone game, Halo 4 would have been very fun. However, when a series utilizes the brand to sell copies, it also must be compared to the games that came before. And -- by comparison -- the game was subpar. Destiny is simply a better game, albeit not that great.

Destiny isn't a bad game, it was just an overhyped, mediocre game compared to the massive, immersive story with a constant stream of new content we were promised. Halo 4 just was a Halo that didn't live up to the rest of the series and the long-established quality of the franchise.

Destiny is more disappointing, although it's better than Halo 4. I expected Halo 4 to be shit.
