• That sucks man. Heres my advice; 1. Stop smoking weed. It will end up worse for you, so please don't smoke. It will give you health and mental problems. 2. Don't commit suicide. Life will get better, and just keep living. Its not good, and it will just hurt the people around you more. 3. If you want to find friends, fine people who share your interests. The friends you make in gaming can be some of the best friends ever. Find a good raid team and talk with them. Fine friends and just be cool about it. At school, find another kid who seems depressed, or lonely and make friends with him. He wont judge you because you are in the same situation. 4. For school, don't play as much video games and study. Get a peer tutor. School is your future. Instead of gaming, try coding or programming. You could share the small game you made with your friends and get feedback. Practice what you want to do and you will get good at it. Make school your priority. 5. Apply for jobs at a fast food restaurant and get people skill. This is invaluable, to know how to work with other people. Just remember to smile and be friendly. You will earn money and learn valuable skills. When you are ready, you will have all the skills you need to do good. Just be happy, and do what you want. Eyes up guardian, its gonna get better. ~Starfish

I can't make suggestions for everything, but I can give advice for some things. 1. Find a way to stop smoking weed. At the very least cut down on it. You don't have to go cold turkey, but definitely start cutting back. You might want to schedule times for gaming as well, but pot is certainly the more destructive habit here. Weed can make you okay with doing nothing. You clearly want to do something. 2. Go running. If you're not in shape it might be a bit hard at first, but keep at it. It'll make you stronger, both physically and mentally. Exercise can help to pull you out of depression. It might even be useful to fill the void left by pot. Also, dem post-workout aches are the best kind of pain. That pain > current pain. 3. Remember, suicide is not worth it. Depression makes life seem impossible. It's not. It's a trick of the mind. Their is a reason why it's an illness. You might not see it, but somewhere out there is a combination of actions that will lead to you feeling better. You may have to work for it, you may just eventually change on your own. I'd recommend working towards to get the highest probable chance that you'll change. Life is beautiful in it's own way. Don't let being sick take that from you. 4. Tell someone you know who can give you support. This can be a school counselor, a parent, a friend, anyone. Talking it out with someone can help put things in perspective and heightens the chance that you'll be able to get help. Remember, you don't have to suffer in silence. This is an illness. You probably don't stay quiet when you have a stomach bug, so don't be quiet about this. 5. OP, it gets better. I promise. Pay no attention to the asshats.

    • Not really a big deal though, my dad only really came to see me when it benefitted him and my mom was always out working (she was a prostitute) or at home too stoned to make comprehensive words. I was too poor to even go to school and when I went to one of those free schools I got expelled since my mom was too drugged up to even look at the principal. Now I make 2.5mil a year, not trying to downplay the shit in your life just saying it can be worse and you can still "succeed".

              • Perhaps the weed is making you feel bad. You could try stopping it, but you probably won't.

                • If this is for reals, then I'm extremely sorry and understand the feels. Some advice: #1.) Check with the hospital to see if they have any programs that can help. This will be a long, difficult process, but most hospitals have forms that you can fill out to allow them to discount or even completely write off your bills. Your family makes so little that it sounds like your step-dad should qualify without an issue. The hospital will most likely give you the runaround, because (let’s face it) they’re just in it for the money. There are also cancer donation funds that will help pay bills, along with making your own donation page for him (this has tax repercussions, as you have to count it as income). Look into it online and branch out from there. #2.) Stop smoking weed. If you want a job, most of the good ones drug test. (How old are you?) Apply to anywhere that will allow your hours. Supermarkets as a bag boy, Pizza Hut, Dollar Store, whatever. It doesn’t matter. With your first paycheck, fix your car. Don’t spend all your money on stupid things. Open a banking account and save at least 30% or more. Start building up your credit by trying to buy a new computer from Dell. (Don’t take out any credit cards if you can help it.) Make your monthly payments. The new computer will be for….. PROGRAMMING! #3.) Start learning on your own. Make a goal of learning how to make a game app, or something similar. Search for internships in your local area and scout out colleges that you want to go to. Depending on your age, this may require more attention. #4.) Start eating healthy and taking Vitamin D. Find something outside that you like to do, and do it. Yoga, walking, hiking, biking, whatever. Get MOVING. Exercise, eating right and Vitamin D all help to fight depression, as will they help your overall goals. Getting out, having a social life (it doesn’t have to be big), getting a job, getting healthy. #5.) Do things around the house. Do the dishes. Sweep the floor. Clean the bathroom. You may not be a maid, but you live in the same freaking house. Help out, and it’ll help you too. You keep feeling worthless because you keep not working on your problems. You’ve acknowledged them, acknowledged that you know what’ll help, and then haven’t done anything about it. You’re scared, and it’s okay to be. But failure happens to everyone, and if you fail at something, don’t give up, just try it again. If you want to PM me, feel free to. It helps to have someone to bounce ideas off of.
