Hey! Listen!

So, before I begin, to all those who came here to admire the LoZ reference, you are the bees knees. Anyway, let's get to the content. As a guardian that's rolled, re-rolled, and re-re rolled every available class, I've had some time to think about the seemingly uninteresting, less noticeable details that are interweaved into Destiny's ever-evolving storyline. This thread is going to be my attempt at rejuvenating a plot that's about as thrilling as...well, the least thrilling thing you can imagine. (Farming Sim. 2014?) As of late, there have been multiple characters, maps, events, and notches carved into Destiny's belt; most notably speaking, we have been visited by Eris, the forlorn guardian and lone survivor of a vicious Hive expedition, suffering from a wicked case of inter-species Stockholm Syndrome and clearly, a vengeful vendetta against those who imprisoned her. As her story unravelled, I got to thinking; which class represents each of the campaign's many fables? I have come to a conclusion, guardians. As far fetched as this may seem, I believe that each class has made a contribution to each planet, and inclusively each species all in their own respective means. Here's my theory: Hunters Stealthy sharpshooters, individualized combatants, and lone scavengers, Hunters are often found roaming patrol in a band of 1, relying only on the familiarity of their fleeting landscape to guide them from planet to planet. Because of their stark similarities in battle mentality, (and because Cayde is the announcer of all Fallen-based strikes) I believe that the Hunter class is meant to be the guardian representative for the fallen. Up next, we have my personal favorite, the Warlock Cunning adversaries who depend upon their scholarly instinct, coupled by their ruthless battle tact and ability to read their enemies every attack, warlocks resemble the Vex. Their ability to teleport and manipulate time and space is nearly identical to that of the warlock's abilities to control the elements and bend nature to their every whim. Also, Ikora Rey is the announcer for all Vex related strikes. And finally, we have the Titan Battle hardened veterans equipped with nothing more than their fists, a well-placed over shield, and two subclasses devoted to providing a whole lot of heavy firepower (heavy ammo kills generates orbs, melees provide support and orbs, heavy ammo more frequently drops, etc.) the Titans are an unstoppable tidal wave with a take-charge mentality. Wartime aficionados and rough and tumble in the arenas, Titans are a force to be reckoned with, especially in numbers. Remind you of anything? The Cabal, of course. Beasts with tons of armor, battle training, and specialists in hand to hand combat, it doesn't take a neuroscientist to see the uncanny similarities. Again, Commander Zavala is the announcer for all Cabal related strikes. Now, I know what you're thinking; "This is all speculation!" "You're not a developer lel" "Forums aren't for fanfic, need 2 level 32 warlocks to push Crota off his pedestal!!!!!" Among other forums speak. This was NOT meant to be interpreted as fact, simply me trying to make some sense of Destiny's otherwise vague plot connections. Take it how you will, and please, any criticism/inquiries are welcome! #Zelda
