So i thought of a way to give people who are without anybody to do the raid with similar content. I was thinking about what Bungie said about adding the same content from raids to other parts of the game. I figured, why not add the content(gear as well) to some sort of unique strikes? The strikes would be similar to the raid, for example Crota's End "strike" would involve leading up to killing Crota, and the difficulty would probably be between the weekly heroic and nightfall. The true difficulty would be up to Bungie. Features could be taken away and added to make it easier for non-organized groups of people.
As for rewards, it could be done in multiple ways.
1. Currency for only the strike.
2. Currency for both strike and raid.
3. Lowered drop rates for strike.
1. For this, the strike wouldn't drop exclusive items, but you would get currency which would eventually allow you to buy raid gear from a vendor, with a reputation requirement maybe. For example, it may take 50 runs to get currency to buy a piece of gear, but somebody may get the gear dropped at 20 runs in the raid.
2. This is pretty simple. Raid might give 8 currency while the strike only gives 4 or less. Maybe more, but that would be up to Bungie. That would encourage players to do the raid if possible.
3. Again simple, strike has lowered drop rates for all exclusive gear.
Probably more than a few flaws, but that can be fixed. I hope it can work! Also, if you have any ideas to add on to this, feel free! If you like the idea, vote in the poll above!
Interesting fact: it took me three tries to type this b/c i kept deleting the tab(iPad).
