Guardians! Which primary weapon class do you prefer to use and why?
Personally, I prefer to use Hand Cannons, there's just something about landing those precision shots. I get so much more satisfaction getting Hand Cannon kills than I do using any other primary weapon class.

I would tie it with autorifles and hand cannons. Suros and TLW are my favorite primaries atm

Kind of depends. Auto Rifles- Feel nice, but only if you have a very good one. Pulse Rifles- They are all pretty underpowered once you pass level 20, sadly Scout Rifles- Gotta love muh Vision of Confluence Hand Cannons- Fatebringer and Hawkmoon, enough said Honestly it depends on the weapon altogether, for me.
-
Either hand cannons or scout rifles. Depends on what mood I'm in. I've always loved semi autos.
-
Auto rifles unless its a scout rifle with full auto or the fatebringer(firefly and fast reloads makes up for not full auto) I dont like tapping the button
-
Hand Cannons Rule!!! And is my gun of choice...the only gun that can one shot someone.
-
Hand Cannons and Scout Rifles.
-
i like hand cannons and auto rifles as my primary
-
Titan- auto rifles Hunter - hand canon Warlock - scout/pulse rifle I like to try a bit of each and a hunter needs a HC
-
My favorite are scout rifles, but assault rifles allow me (a rusher) to take on multiple opponents at once and maximize kills/clip if accurate with room for mistakes That mida & b-line trauma are awesome :x

I love me some Hand cannons.

Sniper rifle

Hand Cannons. My second fav primary is the auto-rifle for those really tough situations where survival is paramount and finesse goes out the window. My best weapon used to be a scout, but now I love HCs because they force me to be better that I thought I could be, or in a way that I just can't be bothered with if I where carrying a scout. Here's an example: A few weeks ago I'm patrolling solo on Earth carrying a lvl20 blue HC with an 8 round capacity. I come across a newly arrived mob of Fallen (3 Dregs, 4 Vandals) on the roof of a garage-looking structure and some are in the process of jumping down to ground level. I run up, slow to a walk, shoot 1 Vandal on the roof and the 3 Dregs on the ground before they can get behind cover. Now 2 more are on the ground and they die too, followed by the last Vandal that dies mid-jump to the ground. I still had 1 round in my HC and ALL had been headshots. I stood there for a second thinking "WOW! I just did that!". Had I been using my scout, I wouldn't have been bothered to be so precise...and that's why I love Hand Cannons.

Hand cannons are pretty clearly the best at this point Imo. Which as more and more people notice this more and more people start to use them which has me a little bit worried they might get a nerf like auto rifles did, when they were the dominant weapon class of choice
-
Most people say they prefer hand canons over auto rifles, and i have to agree with them depending on the weapon. Has anyone ever compared the time to kill of (for example) a shadow price to a devil you know? A suros regime to a hawk moon? I'm curious.
-
Crucible obviously auto rifles are superior. They are easy to use and take less precision than the other weapons. I prefer hand cannons. They feel powerful and I think they are awesome. Plus imo thorn is better than every AR besides maybe suros.
-
I love my hand cannons, but I use a scout rifle when I'm hiding like a little girl.
-
Hand cannons, because they are simply fun to use. And it feels always so rewarding to getting those headshots! BOOM HEADSHOT! BOOOOM HEADSHOT! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM HEADSHOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!!!!!11111oneone
-
Handcannon: one shot kills, one clip majors.
-
Totally the HC guy right from the start. As I don't have fatebringer, thorn or hawkmoon I'm a bit lost now though as the new vendor ones can't compete with the old ones!! What to do??
-
Love hand cannons but at the moment iv been using a pulse rifle for shits and giggles with extends mag it's got 42 bullets and fast reload when empty so it's quite good.

Edited by RAZR137: 12/29/2014 8:01:24 PMUsed to be ARs but after they were nerfed I went to scout rifles with firefly perk..Can kill 3 low levels with one head shot explosion kills all three. ALSO scouts act like mid range sniper rifle. Since the DLC have gotten Up For Anything and it's great..So it depends on mission..If I use AR or Scout. Have both midi tool and badger maxed seem about the same and still dont compare to my A1F1 with firefly.
-
Hand Cannons are by far may favorite. Top two guns for me at the moment are Thorn and Fatebringer. Then scout rifles, my favorite here would be the MIDA. Then AR's followed by Pulse Rifles.
-
Hand cannons > Scout Rifles > Auto Rifles > Pulse Rifles Don't get me wrong I like Pulse Rifles, I just like them more if thy had a harder hit. It feels like 6 rounds of Auto Rifle hit harder then Pulse Rifle. Hell I was happy with the Time Piece from VOG until I max it out. Sad day. Dusty gun until Arc burn shows up.
-
I'm a huge fan of pulse rifles. But, I have to say auto rifles are essentially idiotproof. When you have Vanquisher VIII being that accurate you can spray and not even pray.
-
Scout all the way. I started with Auto's and came to scouts quite late but there is no turning back now. I would love to play with hand cannons but I can't hit bugger all with them.
