I don't know % about other ways to get legendary emgrams. But getting emgrams from dying enemy I do.
60%-Enemy will drop green
30%-Enemy will drop blue
10%-Enemy will purple drop

I was there when it happen now if it possable to earn or it was a glitch or error cause destiny away acting up is possable. But he did get 1 it was a Warlock gear and he Hunter so he scrap it. I thought there not real but idk I saw him get it from a vex drop.

It's been confirmed time and time again by Bungie Ninjas, Mentors, and Help-fiends, that exotics cannot and will not drop from enemies.

10% chance an enemy drops a purple engram? Are you serious, or can't math? So when you kill 10 enemies, 1 will drop a purple? That would be amazing! I kill roughly 100-200 enemies per strike, I should be getting 10-20 purples and 1-2 exotics per strike with this formula.

I wish it was like that but no. Each 1 you kill will have a % of dropping a certain color emgrams. Chances don't increase for each 1 you kill in total. Like you said if you kill 100 and you want get a purple each one of those 100 has a 10% individually. Why you think you don't see people farming now.

More like .5% chance of legendary. Trust me I play a mmo and theirs a wep drop rate of .5% and I get more of thos then legendary engrams

I think they slightly increased drop rate but it's still bad
