You guys and gals know what I'm talking about? When you load up the VOG and see a group full of 30s and 31s. You go to inspect their armor, and most of it is Vanguard Light 33.
"Have you done/beaten the hard raid before?"
"Yeah all the time!"
*[b]15 minutes later[/b]*
"How do we kill the Templar?"
"What's a gorgon?"
"What side is Venus?"
"There's a Conflux at Gatekeeper?!"
"Wait, those Harpies explode?"
"Why am I detained?!"
And my favorite: "There's no revives on hard?"
People. Please be honest. Personally, I [i]love[/i] explaining the mechanics of the VOG to new people. I love helping VOG virgins through it for the first time. It's awesome.
But please don't lie about it. If you say you know what you're doing, we won't explain it because we assume you've done it.
Now, what happens if you say you've never done it and get kicked from a group? Well that's a good thing. Because those people have no tolerance and patience (and time). You don't want to raid with people like that. You want a group that is forgiving, loose, chill, and can help others.
I love helping people. But please, don't lie. It makes it easier on everybody.

After about 6 tries, everyone outside the portal died except this one kid, we said "go open the Venus portal" his reply.........."how do you open the portal" Kicked. Beat Atheon next time around, got the Vex, retired Vog

[/quote] Actually that's exactly what type of group you want, you know they won't -blam!- around and they'll do everything the right way (You can learn a lot more from these groups) Then you have the groups out there that just help people get through it, even when most of the time they can't make it through themselves. Basically, scrubs helping scrubs.. Not a good combo.

Would be nice lol. Too many people still haven't made it ALL the way through a hard vog! When we heard the words "nobody knew how to use the relic when we were teleported" my good friend backed out instantly and i didn't blame him! These people had hard raid helms and the like!!! Can talk a good one but won't EVER get another invite from us!!!!

I'm level 26 and I've never raided, but even i have the braincells to know how to kill the templar. How can anyone not know it by now? There's guides and even word of mouth on the issue.

1 ReplyI never look at just the level light they are. I inspect only one thing, their weapons. I'm not going to do a raid with a bunch of level "31's" who are running three rare guns in a row. Hell even the ones who have "legendarys" not leveled up what so ever are not deserving of your time. I would happly run a hard raid with someone lvl 28 as long as they had the guns to back it up.

First time I did it I lied. (Before DLC) I was a 29 and I made a mental list of all the shit that happened. I died looked at the countdown and was like shit I can't be revived (then I self rezed) when the legions came I followed everyone up and one guy said "you don't want to be exploded by one of those." I have all vanguard gear. Haven't done a full hard raid yet. I wanted to be the highest level I could be before doing it.

Was doing the vog in normal to show a friend what to do. The guys were level 28 and up. Kept hearing which side is Venus? How do you open the portal. What button is it for relic cleanse? Why do I keep dying from those supplicants. I stopped shooting the oracle why doesn't he die already. Almost had an brain aneurysm from them.

i joined vog ONCE and it was to randoms at the final boss. whould like to do the whole raid with a group though rather not deal with those randoms who enjoy blaming EVERYONE for their -blam!- ups lol

All you have to do is watch either a YouTube video or some twitch streams of them running raids. You will feel more comfortable and might teach others a thing or two. I had someone tell me in a raid that they didn't have time to watch a thirty minute video and waste their life, instead he decided to waste hours for the rest of us. Don't be like that douche

There's an easy solution to this Delete / block people who are full of shit. Keep people who you've played with who arnt bad Have irl friends to play with. I always have a fire team of at least 4 when u play, and it's people I know irl. Then I look at friends list and see who's down It's simple. And you can even 4-5 man vog with all 30s so it's not a problem for me But I understand.

My armour is all vangaurd now too... My alt Titan has my full VoG set on. Then again I am packing the guns and the hard raid ship... Man, gotta get back and do VoG again. That was good, glitches aside.

I also look to the grimior score and all there weapons. Most times, I finish the raid if the team communicates.
