What you will get:
3 new story missions (some leading into the last of the "locked" areas).
2 new strikes (one is ps exclusive, which will be in a backwards version of an old mission leading into King's Watch).
1 new raid with 3 bosses (plus an annoying, lootless, mini boss).
1 new vendor/faction person in the tower.
3 bounty chains to get weapons and armor that is the same as the vendor gear you bought on day one.
The same exotic upgrade path we had in TDB.
A handful of new exotics.
No way to get to 34 without raiding. But you can get to 33 in the first week with vendor gear.

We are probably going to be 34/35 from TDB hard mode so next Exp will start off with what ever level TBD ends on The hard mode raid STARTS at 32 but ends around 33/34 (guessing because the exotics can't go higher than 331 and they've shown they can and will change damage modifiers already so who's to say we won't have another upgrade by Crota hard mode) and Crota of course will be one level above the obtainable player level (34/35)

It was already confirmed Lvl cap is 32 and staying there hard mode is for the primary weapons ships sparrow and the piece to upgrade necro.

TDB is going to stay 32 light capped. I can't say for sure they won't go to 34, but I haven't seen any indication that they will. That's why there are 331 weapons and the hive disrupter perks. They're pretty much locking the non-raiders out of the hard raid with that perk. Personally I think using level 33 enemies is a cheap way to artificially increase difficulty, the same goes for adding lots of lower level enemies. I hope they handle it better in HoW. But I doubt it. I dunno, time will tell.

They said they were raising the level cap to 32 in TDB. I haven't heard anything about a higher cap.

Raids have so far been setup to go 2 levels up as you play them Hard mode will start off at 32 so it will end around 34/35

No dude, hard mode has level 33 enemies throughout. Just like hard mode VoG had. Only lvl 33, why would they raise the cap even more without telling anyone? Plus, the hard mode raid gear has already been data mined, it's only +36 light
