THORN BOUNTY a punishment to NON HALO players..
After logging more than 2000 hours I have finally realized I will NEVER get to play with the only weapon I have ever wanted....The THORN Hand Cannon.
Since I have NO experience in PVP I am punished by having absolutely NO WAY to get this item other than an event that has NOTHING to do with this game. I've held this bounty in my inventory, along with the INVECTIVE bounty, for 3 months.. (got both bounties early) but I could never get them to save my life.
So after one last failed attempt in the IRON BANNER to even log ANY POINTS on the bounty I'm still sitting at ZERO.
Never in my entire gaming experience have I been restricted from an Item based on my ability to know glitches and exploits in a Multiplayer setting.
What pisses me off is I actually liked this game with all its failures and short comings but now I have to let Principles take over.
I have been punished by Bunghole for being a Hard Core gamer. I played this game more than any other game I have ever owned. And for what. To be told that all my work on gear and bounties and Raids is worthless everytime a new DLC drops. No thanks. We got to draw the line somewhere.
Mine was the THORN...or actually the INABILITY to obtain.
Now i am forced to leave behind everything i have invested in this game because BUNGHOLE is mad that I'm not a HALO NUT HUGGER.
I wish i could say it was fun. But as i look back i also realize something else...
IT WASNT.
What a waste of 3 months of my life.

**EDIT #1...I have already deleted both bounties. At this time I'm considering deleting my characters to keep me from returning to Destiny. ***

**RE-EDIT #2.....I have ALL VOID WEAPONS fully MAXED. ..Atheon Epilogue, Light Beware Fusion, Comedian Shotgun, Corrective Measure, Truth AND I have VOID WALKER fully Maxed. ***
***EDIT #3...To all those saying DONT do IB do it in Crucible. ...That would make it 100x harder because there's NO LEVEL Advantage. I would never last 2 minutes in that shhit. ***
***EDIT #4....To all the people questioning my play time...CHECK MY FVCKING PROFILE NOOBS. I have 51 DAYS..DAYS...on Venus by itself. It's called the VAULT OF GLASS and 10 Major Fallen Bounties. ***

Dude I suck at pvp too, and i dont rrally enjoy it. THAT SAID, I didn't complain about the Thorn bounty when I got to that part... I just did my best and tried to do it. I couldn't even find a good rare or legendary special weapon with void damage so I used a GREEN lvl 16 shotgun I got from the weaponsmith. Still didn't complain about it. I told a friend I was worried about doing the bounty, and he said" -bullshit- dude! We are getting you that bounty!" And I'm like: eer... ok, if you say so.... But he was right. It took a while, but we pounded out those kills. I even got a little better at pvp because of it. I know you want other options, since part of the game is pve. And that WOULD be nice. But unfortunately I think this is one issue that they will never touch. Maybe in Destiny 2, but not here. I'm not denying your right to complain, but I think it's lacking purpose at this point = /. And that's that. I DO happen to agree with you on the whole "every 3 months weapon upgrade" thing though. Bungie is wrong if they think I'm gonna put that time in again just to see it go to waste, regardless of what the game is "supposed to be like" (that's for you, Destiny trolls.) But in any case, keep your chin up and good luck on your bounties, they CAN be done : ) -corrupt
