It's all based on luck, I know it's a frustrating system, but if you play it enough times you will eventually get what you want. Be sure you are playing on the Hard difficulty setting, as that is the only time the mythoclast will drop.

this is what i do i play on hard mode and my group get the Viex all the time. they said we have it for the 7 time we don't need it anymore also every week it is hard to find ppl play VOG raid cause everyone get out he want they just don't need anyomre if my group inter this raid it is only to help me. and you said i need to spend time playing the game this is my game tag 'Ll zombie gamer' look how many hours i spend playing Destiny.

I know it's not really fair, they handled the loot drop system in this game poorly, I feel bad when I see people struggling over things like this, it's not fun, I don't know why it's the way it is. I'm on the PS4 though so I don't think we can play, but if you look over in the recruitment subforum there are always loads of people ready and willing to do the raid.
