And i have no idea what i just played. I certainly don't feel like a legend. What is the purpose of this game? I cant even justify spending another 20$ on content i care nothing for.
The multiplayer can be a little fun, but my god... How do you go from Halo to this? i read absolutely nothing about this game, it came with my destiny ps4, and i knew it was made by Bungie. I wanted to go in spoiler free, and not have peoples judgment on the game sway original opinion of it when i "finished" the story.... Lol but there wasn't a story... I have no idea what i just completed. This game felt so empty i cant even describe it. Something missing...Was this on purpose?, and if so why? Im really confused lol insane amount of money on this game and i cant even begin to see where it was spent
Sorry bungie, you lost a fan.

You are a foot soldier fighting aliens who took over the solar system. Story? The life of a soldier isn't always a perfect story.
-
Its truly telling that someone who went into Destiny with no expectations reaches the same conclusion as people that followed Destiny ever since it was in development. You are not alone in your sentiments. People have been pointing this out since late September.
-
Sorry you wasted your money. I was so sold on Bungies rep that I pre-purchased both "expansions". BTW you're not missing anything, the missions take place in the same areas only you go through them backwards. You might enjoy the raid if you can convince 5 friends to adjust their time and lives to play the raid. It's really just a cash grab. They lose fans on a daily basis and rightly so.

You should have waited and read the reviews. And by you i really mean me. The game is fundamentally disappointing.
-
LOL! Story... Bazooka Joe comic strips are like Pulitzer Prize winning epics when compared to what we get with Destiny.
-
The story might not pull you in but. Play a strike or 2 and enter the Vault of glass you will be hooked. Trust me,

Sadly the story in game is only about 1/4 of what Bungie has given us. The other 3/4 of the available story is in the Grimoire cards. Piece all those together along with what's in-game and you have an epic story, or at least the beginning of one. And that's where they went wrong! Presentation is everything. During the last year of development, Bungie's lead story writer, Joe Staten "left" (lots of speculation on that), and A LOT of content was cut, story was re-written and Bungie had some random guy come in and create the Grimoire. So sadly most of the story is not actually in game. You have to pick it all up from the cut-scenes, phrases from NPC's and enemies, and the Grimoire.

'the real game begins after 20' LIES.

Lol just reading your post title I wanted to say I'm sorry, and most everyone feels the same way. They did this all on purpose. The game was designed this way. On purpose. It's scary.
-
I'm just going to play something else, screw this crap.

It's Activisons fault. Eventually they are gonna buy out Bungie and there will be a new Destiny every year with 90 season passes. But seriously, its all Activison. They wanted Bungie to cut content so they could release the game earlier. It wasn't like this originally... Sorry.

The game was gutted prior to release.
-
It's all activison, for trying to take over bungie
-
Worst final ever :(
-
you will have to access the grimoire cards to actually care about this game.....

The whole damn game is an emotionless grind fest with a Vegas style loot system. I felt no connection to any of the characters in the story, and they made the ghost so irritating to me. I don't feel like he's my "guide" I just feel like he's my servant who's scared to go out and fight against anything, just hack into stuff. At least cortana had character, and I felt connected to her when playing...I went off on a tangent but you know what I mean

There actually is a story in Destiny. It won't win any awards but it is there. Destiny's story was told mostly through disposition. And that in itself is ok but Bungie's fault was to put that in loading screens and fire fights. No one pays attention to loading screens and, in fire fights, the player is more focused on shooting. Also, Bungie left a lot of things open ended on purpose because of their plans for the game via future DLC. The Vex threat is the main storyline for the vanilla Destiny. The Dark Below concluded the Hive story line.

It wasnt a story. It was you committing genocide on the vex, destroying their religion, and murdering several million individuals. For no apparent reason. We dont talk to them. Also, anyone else find it funny that we think its crazy how the stranger talked to us on the moon from venus, but we find it normal that the speaker/chryptarch can talk to us on mars/venus from earth.
-
Haha the truth stings
-
If you want the rest of the story you have to go online and read the grimoire cards. But first you have to collect them by finding dead ghosts and killing lots of stuff and doing things over and over. Lol. Even then it's pretty weak.

Welcome.
-
The next goal in your destiny life is to do some raid matchmaking and learn the ways of becoming legend...or not so legend as the game may be.
-
Jepp. Same here. You nailed it buddy. Maybe Bungi should just have made it total story free. With no story at all. Just go there kill this and thats it. In that way we would not think about the missed opportunity of telling a story... To Bungi after the dlc i am maximale disappointed. Bungi i Will Never buy a game from you again...
