Here is another break down on those numbers:
872,404,449 hrs played total divided by 22,932,276 characters created equals 38.04 hrs of time played per character on average.

That's really not very much haha

It really is not but you got to take into consideration that some people only play one maybe two characters and sink hundreds of hours in them. With that being said, there has to be people that tried the game out and did not play nearly 38 hrs on the game before they dropped it. Also new players are a factor as well. This was merely trying to prove that if you add anything up, it can seem like a big number but when broken down it is not that impressive.
