THORN BOUNTY a punishment to NON HALO players..
After logging more than 2000 hours I have finally realized I will NEVER get to play with the only weapon I have ever wanted....The THORN Hand Cannon.
Since I have NO experience in PVP I am punished by having absolutely NO WAY to get this item other than an event that has NOTHING to do with this game. I've held this bounty in my inventory, along with the INVECTIVE bounty, for 3 months.. (got both bounties early) but I could never get them to save my life.
So after one last failed attempt in the IRON BANNER to even log ANY POINTS on the bounty I'm still sitting at ZERO.
Never in my entire gaming experience have I been restricted from an Item based on my ability to know glitches and exploits in a Multiplayer setting.
What pisses me off is I actually liked this game with all its failures and short comings but now I have to let Principles take over.
I have been punished by Bunghole for being a Hard Core gamer. I played this game more than any other game I have ever owned. And for what. To be told that all my work on gear and bounties and Raids is worthless everytime a new DLC drops. No thanks. We got to draw the line somewhere.
Mine was the THORN...or actually the INABILITY to obtain.
Now i am forced to leave behind everything i have invested in this game because BUNGHOLE is mad that I'm not a HALO NUT HUGGER.
I wish i could say it was fun. But as i look back i also realize something else...
IT WASNT.
What a waste of 3 months of my life.

***EDIT #3...To all those saying DONT do IB do it in Crucible. ...That would make it 100x harder because there's NO LEVEL Advantage. I would never last 2 minutes in that shhit. ***

1 ReplyI literally started playing FPS with Titanfall back in March, and I have little to no trouble getting this bounty finished. Also, I can't see your grimoire score to check it, but I'd be willing to wager that I've completed the vault of glass more than you. You've got over twice as many hours as I've got (according to Xbox). I think it's time to pack it in anyway, if you're that bad. Otherwise, nice troll.

This game plays nothing like halo. I am terrible at halo and still got the bounty done amd not a half bad PVP player. Stop crying.

Lol. To accomplish things in games, such as specific bounties or achievements, you have to have SKILL. That's how games work. Stop complaining that you can't beat something. You can go negative and still get the Thorn as long as you use 3 void weapons.

"NO experience in PVP" "Hard Core gamer" What a joke. When will you kids learn that gear from PVE is good in PVE and gear from PVP is good in PVP. All your precious raid gear is only at its most effective when used on the monsters that you killed without it to get it. I have no pity whatsoever that you ran out of your precious linear content because your overall mastery (and on a deeper and maybe even more personal level, your understanding/comprehension of the mechanics) of the total game and most likely gaming in general is glaringly lacking.

Just use atheons epilogue. With the stability Perk the low impact isn't a big deal. Play skirmish as well or control since it only takes about 4-8 games while doing it. If the epilogue doesn't work use a fusion rifle. I suck at pvp and i did it. But you're wasting your time on it anyway the only thing it's good for is keeping shields down.

Just use a void shotgun in rumble. youre bound to get it in at least 10 games.

If I can complete it with a Zombie Apocalypse and a Nova Bomb, you can get it with all of those weapons you listed buddy. Pathetic that people who can't play crucible go on the forums and cry, and over a digital weapon to.

I'm gonna go back and read the rest. P.S. Crucible is not that difficult, man. Especially with as many as hours as you claim, the mechanics should be like second nature to you now. I don't even play that much Crucible and I got done with the bounty in an hour or so.

4 RepliesSo, this was posted as a way to expose how "unfair" this game is. I read it as a "waaah, I'm not good enough to get this gun!" Look buddy, I suck at Crucible. I still completed the Thorn bounty. There were hackers and glitches and laggers and whatever in almost every one of my games: people with infinite heavy ammo, people with infinite Golden Gun, people whose Fusion Rifles charged instantaneously- after they glitch-teleported right up to me. But I still finished it. If you're not willing to work for it, then you don't deserve it.

1 ReplyI soloed the Thorn and Invective bounties. I'm not tooting my own horn but it's very doable for anyone. Getting the void kills is not that hard...just have to adjust your play style.
