Though this is true, I highly doubt bungie will want people who abused this banned as they are all current dlc paying customers, and they won't want to risk losing that extra income as most people who buy the first dlc will probably continue to buy future ones. And I would estimate a very large portion of the playerbase has done this so it would be alot of people not to mention alot of work doing the banning They will just patch it

I've seen so many of these since the updates (NOT prior to them) it would be in very poor judgement to penalize anyone for going to orbit manually. Host of the game may have had a power outage, had an emergency and had to drop out, jealous younger brother/GF, wife, child may have hit the power button, ,..... endless list of reasons. If it is that great of a dilemma that they would start banning people for this, then maybe they should implement that no one can join a raid once it's started. Everyone has to go to orbit and start over at the last check point. Problem solved. The new equivalent of Atheon baby bumpers. If it's not really a problem, nothing need be done.

If people got banned for cheesing Crota they would probably just get rid of the game altogether. Then who would buy the next DLC???? Bungie won't ban anyone for cheesing unless you have modded your console.

Oh Please... tell the forum exactly why are you bothering to worry about how others choose to play their game. Will other players who opt to cheat/cheese/exploit, turn the outcome of your personal game ???... Of course not. And as far as "tracking", that's B.S. And here is why... Servers can NOT distinguish between a player purposely quitting out of a game, or from them losing power due to electrical-supply interruption. Yes, it can be done and is super easy. So are you just taking it upon yourself to be Bungi-visions "voice on proper game play"?, Or are you gust kissing Deej's ass for some hope of becoming noticed by him/them and being recruited into their ranks? No, this whole topic you chose to "share/warn" players about is only for you to grab some community attention, and possibly start some forum fights amongst the "exploit finders", and the "true-to-the-core grinders".

Even if they did ban people... It would be a bigger loss on bungie end than the consumer. All those banned won't be buying the dlc and as we have seen with the quality of destiny and it's dlc money is all that matters.

Thank you for posting this! Not a lot of people read the terms that you agree to when you get your console set up. I do hope that more are banned for the "forever kneeling" glitch on Crota because that is network manipulation in order to gain an unfair advantage or complete an in game task. Not cool man. Cheesing is fine if that's what you're in to, I'm not, as it doesn't effect the way i play.

I don't like this at all. Yes it's exploitation but what if the leader gets kicked because of bad network code at this "oppurtune time" .. You know it's gonna happen given the stability of the servers the game is on. It's just a matter of time. What should they do? Quit their hours of time into the raid and start over because Crota needs a time out ie: bungie can't get their netcode together? This is serious and needs a fix..fast.

Hardware manipulation as stated by Sony and Microsoft on multiple occasions directly relates to modchips or hacks like ps3 jailbreak. In the case of disconnecting through a dashboard that would be consider software manipulation, and in that note the software itself has not been manipulated, it remains intact as Sony and Microsoft designed it, changing your settings does not constitute Manipulation.

If you understand what they mean, you would know that modifying the connection to them is using a lag switch, if they started banning anyone who disconnects in the crota raid, they'd be banning a lot of innocent people with bad internet too

The reason people are being banned has to do with using modded consoles that have been tampered with, not for cheese ing crota
