The only problem is people could just buy heaps of materials with vanguard marks And then trade them back in to level up factions way too quickly. I think that's why they took out the trade in option

All they needed to do was remove rep gain, change exchange rate to be equal and it would have worked fine. Can't cheat if you do: 50 planetary materials buy 10 marks 10 marks buys 50 planetary materials Simple, no wonder why Bungie didn't do it. Too hard to satisfy both sides.

Yeh that makes sense but I think that a lot of the ppl that want it back want it because they don't do crucible and they want to get rep that way
