It's just the RNG. Sometimes it's great and sometimes it sucks but keep at it and you'll get what you need eventually. I had a while where all I'd get was energy but eventually I got more shards. No way to say for sure what you'll get.

So i'm just getting really unlucky right now? Damn.. Oh well thanks for the heads up. Wish they could adjust the RNG a little so we get a few more shards here and there. Would be nice.

If you miss the daily once then do it the next day for me it has switched those rewards. Hope this helped :D

@timesabres it's not a question of missing the daily. It's noticing that all I'm getting as far as Ascendent Materials is the Energy and not getting Shards.

Ok one thing is I bought for marks is the vanguard arms and legs then dismantled them even though marks are limited that's one way I got some extra shards. The rng is pretty unforgiving sometimes belive me we all have had it kick energy in our face it sucks bro.

I know what you mean. I have been playing iron banner and crucible and have gotten almost nothing for end game rewards while people are getting purples and all kinds of good stuff. I even got the same exact rewards (shards/energy and the vault cloak and chatterwhite shader) 2 times in a row on the vault of glass. My wife has had 3 legendary items from blue engram and one exotic from a purple.

Same with my bro he's gotten 4 purple boots and purple chest I'm a titan and "I" keep getting purple warlock boots and chest :/ But it's kinda funny.
