Rank-based matchmaking is not fun. Anyone with 2.0+ kd is annoying, and play against them makes me want to quit the game......

Exactly, this way they don't play you and you don't have to hold them back. It's called natural flow, Destiny needs a ranked playlist(s).

Soooo then rank based matchmaking actually is fun? since you wouldn't play with those people? I think you mistyped, considering rank based would place you around people of similar skill levels.
