Trust me when I say, this will fade away in time. I've played a lot of RPG's in my life, on plasma televisions. Hundreds upon hundreds of hours, and I always had this "shadow" afterward. Whenever I start playing a different game, with a different hud, this eventually washes the screen back out. But it does take a while.

  • Define "a while." I have stopped playing Destiny for over a month now because of the image retention the HUD has left. It's still there, albeit more faint than it was in the beginning but you can still see it, especially on light backgrounds. Oh and for those of you trash talking plasmas, get a clue! Plasmas still offer the best picture display AND motion resolution of any other display type.

  • I would say I was still seeing faint traces of the image retention after 100 hours, getting fainter the longer I played or watched something else. But I could usually only see this if I got up very close to the screen. I wouldn't see it from my couch. I agree with you on the plasmas. It's always been my favorite TV tech.
