I was ready for this game to succeed since 2012 and then it failed, bungie made a game, and it failed. I was shocked to say the least.

If by "failed" you mean "best selling new IP of the year" then ok. And you can't claim you don't have good gear because you weren't blessed by the RNG...you could log in right now and run some low level strikes and get vanguard marks and get level 31 gear right now. It's not hard at all. We get that you don't like the game but don't project things onto it like "it failed" just because you're either not very good at it, don't want to put the time into a specific goal in it, or just don't "get" the game in general.

CoD is in my opinion not a very fun game but it outsells everyone ever year. This game is not fun for me it felt like I was Grinding the entire time but with no reward unless RNGesus smiles upon you. Bungie made games that I could play for weeks and months of in game time, then they made this. I definitely could play this for that amount of time but the entire game is based around the expectation that the game has massive replay ability, it does not. Truly I was shocked at how a great company can take 5 years to make as much content that a mediocre company could make in 2 or 3 years. It wasn't the best but it definitely wasn't the worst game of the year, I expected more. Last time bungie made a game this "meh" they were still making games for PC and Mac. I just wanted a more fun experience, I wanted this to be like how gta was "everyone has it and it's all everyone talks about". But it was average and that was disappointing to me for some reason, it excels in some areas but lets others fail miserably. I don't know how to feel about this game anymore.

Fair enough. The better way to say your opinion would be "this game failed me" or "this game is a failure to me", rather than this game failed. It most certainly did not fail. And everyone is talking about it. It's controversial because some critics and some players don't "get" it and it's a high profile game coming from Bungie but yet millions of people are playing it everyday and the average play session is multiple hours, etc. I haven't played a GTA game since III...well I tried IV but it was just like III so yeah, so I don't like those games at all. But of course, I could never say it "failed"...even now that it is garnering a lot of negative press now that the feminazis are all over the fact that you can *gasp* kill sex workers in the game! I'm sorry you find Destiny "meh". For me personally I haven't been this excited and addicted to a game in a long, long time, if ever. All the other "must play" games I have are sitting there collecting dust because I can't put Destiny down... To each their own right? ;)
