We got ours on Launch Day. My daughter called dibs on the DingleBot. It's been greeting her when she comes home from school and acting as a night light when she sleeps. Suffice it to say that she's grown attached to the critter and has treated it gently.
Last night when she was plugging it in to charge, the port gave way. She was inconsolable.
I really hope someone is forthcoming with a how-to video for fixing the thing (I hope you know how to solder), steps to follow in order to get a replacement or a workaround that allows for a cabled replacement port. The original was soldered directly to the circuit board with no additional structural support.
Don't get me wrong. Adding "Dinglebot Repair Tech" to my resume has a nice ring to it but I don't think it carries much persistence in the job market.
If I have to repair it myself, I'll do what I can to record the procedure once I learn the steps through trial and hopefully-not-too-much error.
It's a given that my commentary in said video will be NSFW.

Thank you so much for your contribution man, I still haven't gotten off my lazy ass to call Activision about it. It may be too late now.
